A way to refill cable ties
Hey,

I would appreciate a way to refill cable ties. Currently if you try a level with a small crew to stealth (like 1-2 guys) you get the problem of running out of ties and are forced to shoot hostages. I am not saying that people should be able to carry infinite cable ties but there should be an option to get more. Maybe via asset?

Discuss!

No need. Three people with Cableguy ACED can tie down the entire Bank Heist, four people can tie down basically everyone in GO Bank.

I know it's a co-op game, but still I often play banks solo and I would welcome such asset. It's so boring to constantly shout civs down while the drill does it's job, that unless the vault is in the offices room I usually end up killing many civs :(

Control Freak. Or just learn that civics that are near you DON'T MOVE.

4 people with cable guy aced can't tie down the entire go bank. If you didn't buy bad music, you can't even tie don the entire nightclub with 4 people.

Go bank was updated and now has a random amount of walkers, which can be between 25 and 38 civilians total (From what I've seen on DW contracts), so unless those games were glitched or bugged, there's little to no way to control them all without Control Freak.

Nightclub without Bad Music has between 22 and 28 civilians... it's random again, so just hope for a small wednesday croud if you want to stealth it with the nice music and without bloodshed.

I like it, having more assets can't be a bad thing. Even if you aren't soloing, having accessability to extra ties would allow you to, example, re-tie down civs that cops free. But overall this to me sounds like one out of many possible solutions to encourage shooting less civs so I'm all for it.

About Go Bank:
Am I the only one who ever tried to just clear the front of the bank so street civs, extra cops and extra gensec have nothing to be alarmed about?

I tried... eventually, they enter the bank and see the vault door opened, which leads them to investigate (Cops and Gensec). The civies seems quite normal from what I've seen, moving all hostages into the garage (Since some of them arrive in the bank going through the small market on the left).

Please stay on topic guys. What possibilities implement cable ties can you think of? I could imagine that you can refill them on the escape vehicle or get a box of it via asset. What do you prefer? Should they be a limited or infinite amount?

I think: They should be a infinite amount but you can only fill up to as many as you had from start (2/6 with skill). The position should not be to "convinient" for example at bank rather next to the granade case then right in the copy room.

Discuss further :P

I think that instead of another asset, we should get 4 by default and 8 by acing the skill.
Luftwaffle May 19, 2014 @ 6:58pm
Could be nice as a solo player, but it'd need to be limited to prevent people from just tying everything up, whethet it's dependent on players in session or something else.

The skill got rebalanced to 6 from 8.... you have to factor in that 4 people CAN have this but at the same time not make it stupidly low so that it seems useless otherwise. More likely 2 or 3 may have it, as opposed to a whole 4. But still.

It got rebalanced from 10 to 6, so I think 8 would be just fine.

actually, they do, is just that you can spam the F key and keep them in the down state.

The thing is, like the saw, this is a circunstantial thing. Pretty much only needed in go bank.
The single player game (offline mode) is balanced up to Very Hard, with 2 bots only made for Loud missions, even then, hostages are un-necessary, because you can only trade them for bots. And bots cannot trade them for you.

Again, "Control Freak" resolves the issue, and you can spin a saw on the roof of the bank while looking up, and the hostages will not be an issue.

yes but when you play its boring standing there shouting, i rather take the penalty than mess around with the F button or running back and forth between the vault and the civs, its tedious gameplay...

I am able to carry countless drills (election day 2 for example), but only 2 (aced 6) cableties.
They must be very heavy!
