Vertical Foregrip modifications?
I know it's a bit too military for a game about robbery, but the same could be said about the minigun. Vertical foregrips are often used by soldiers to combat recoil, and quite a few of the real-world gun models that the Payday 2 guns are based on do have options for vertical foregrip modifications, including the MP5, G36c, M4, SCAR-H and RPD.

Now, I can understand if their absence was due to animation issues, but after the animation update, that reasoning has lost its' power, and with the weapons getting more and more exotic in nature, one could imagine the Payday gang utilizing more military grade attachments.

The gang would likely use a combination of solid vertical foregrips, which would improve stability significantly at the cost of concealment, and folding foregrips that offer less stability but impair concealments less as well.

And that hasn't changed. The engine still can't change animations based on weapon mods.

That's just plain.. poppycock!

It's sorta possible, just takes a bit of an extra step to set a new grip animation if a certain weapon modification is used.

Well, then why don't you do it?

Working on it, deal is I can't quite make new animations due to a lot of limitations in modding when it comes to new assets. Being forced to use the RPK/Aug's grip animation led to some.. interesting results.

At least it kinda shows it's possible to have the game check if a certain weapon mod is equipped and apply a new grip animation if said weapon mod is there.
