How many people really want to use it? I think not so much, but to some other people, it is too offensive.
The Japanase actually did us a favor, and helped us achieved and maintained our early independece (though not by much)
Its not just the Middle East, there's probably very few places that cant think of a problem with 'Murica. Heck, I'm sure Canda probably does, but their just too polite to mention it.

Dont forget Celine Dion and Bryan Adams, I dont think there's a catergory for those kind of crimes yet.
Censorship is an issue but so is supplying players with culturally insensitive logos in the first place - if it was a swastika then I'm sure fewer people would be championing the devs decision and considering whether it's aesthetically pleasing or not.
