Wooden Weapon Colours

Weapon colours have been in the game for a while now, and they're pretty neat. But while we've gotten plenty of types of camo, metal, and various patterns that we can decorative our favourite and not-so-favourite weapons in, there's one type of material that seems to be sorely lacking thus far: wood.

I love having wooden parts on my guns; it's an aethestic I find pleasing. And while we have some weapons and weapon parts that have wood finishes, I think being able to cosmetically turn parts of our weapons into wood would be a welcome addition to our catalogue of weapon colours.

You could even make a DLC pack out of it, if you wanted. There's plenty of types of wood out there that can and have been used for gun parts before. There's Walnut, Mahogany, Teak, Maple, Birch... you could even throw in things like Balsa, Cherry wood, etc. All slightly different colours, each with their own grain patterns, giving players a healthy amount of variety to pick from (giving them more reason to buy it) while not being too much work for the art team.

Well, let's see. Let's say we aim for the same amount of skins as the color packs (because, assuming the pack is only skins, that's pretty much the best way to give it good value for money), so 20 skins, plus the aforementioned Birch as a community freebie.

- Bamboo (technically not a wood, rather a grass, but it's more or less the same for our purposes)
- Aspen
- Sycamore
- Cyprus
- Alder
- Poplar

Then all they would need to do is adjust the grains for the small, medium, and large pattern types, and we've got ourselves a colour pack.
