PAYDAY 2

PAYDAY 2

Zobrazit statistiky:
Anyone remember SWAT4 and it feature that could work really well in this game?
http://youtu.be/Twe1_yQML7I?t=3m23s
(Warning this video contain footage of punching grandma to submission)

Playing Payday alway remind me of this game called SWAT4 and how great it would be if some of these feature got implemented in this game

1. Ability to give order to the Bot and Team mate
2. More tool for bag slot such as Flash bang, Door Wedge, Taser, Pepper Spray
3. Civilian sometime will only comply when treatened with force (melee, pepper spray, taser, bean bag round, gunshot wound, control freak gun fire)
4. Bean bag round for shotgun
5. Ability to see team mate screen
6. Gas grenade and Gas mask gear in armor slot (Moderate detection risk and protection value override any mask with gas mask that give player a worse visibility but protect from gas)

also my other non-swat4 suggestion

1. Ability to grab a dominated cops & tied civ and move them around
2. Closing door and lock it or block with door wedge
3. Thermal Scope
4. spy cam for bag slot

sorry for my broken english :\

1. Order Bots around: They're too stupid, though can call them around a bit. Order Team mates: Buy a Headset or use Chat. Easy, right?
2. Ugh...Flash Bangs are annoying in every team based shooter. It's enough the Cops spam those, i don't wanna see the crying about pubs where people throw them right in front of their team mates like it's happening in Counter-Strike all the time.
Door Wedge...what for exactly? Cops can blow up walls, climb through windows, destroy boards, they wouldn't care. Taser...what for? So you can tase a cop while getting shot to death by his buddies who surround you? Pepper Spray...yeah, that surely will work on a Bulldozer (though i guess the Senpai Dozer will start to cry since he looks totally emo) :D
3. We can already punch Civs and they go down without dying. So it's already there without any extra gadgets needed.
4. Why?
5. What for? It works in Swat because it's a slow-paced tactical game and you use the windows to give commands to bots mostly. Imagine it in Payday: "Looks at Team Screen, loses concentration, goes down". Great.
6. Gas is used in how many Heists? 1? So would a Gas mask really do anything good if it takes the spot of more important items? What would Gas grenades do? It's essential in Swat since you don't want to kill anybody, so throwing a Gas Grenade/Flash Bang/Sting Grenade into a room before storming it makes sense. In Payday you just run around and shoot everybody.

The other things
1. You can move tied Civs around
2. What for? Cops enter through windows, blow up Walls, shoot barricaded windows. If a door is closed, they just enter any other way (might even go the Cloaker way through the vents if needed)
3. Again: What for? I don't see any real use for that.
4. Wanna make selfies for Twitter? "Look ma, i'm robbing a bank!". Otherwise there are the camera rooms you can use for probably what you're thinking of and otherwise you have the Spotter Skill. So why would you trade an Ammo/Medic Bag/C4 for a cam?

Payday 2 never reminds me of Swat and i played them all (Swat 3 and 4 are still great games!)
Swat is a lot more tactical and slower paced.
There is only ONE feature missing from SWAT 4: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4DXvcDFDhA

1. yes they are stupid but why don't improve it? in swat4 you can use voice chat too but when you use the command feature it will actually mark where they should go and which door should they stack on

2. i understand that troll can abuse them, well maybe it a bad idea.
Door wedge yeah i understand they are useless but maybe make them work like barricaded window?
pepperspray maybe use it for non special? and civie? to make them instantly give up?

3. same reason as pepperspray

4. same reason as pepperspray

5. nvm it stupid

6. bank heist? diamond store? jewelry store? use it on crowded area then let gas maked team mate to go in and tie up all civie?

the other stuff

1. i know i can move them around but they usually dont go where i want them to
i just want to grab their arm and move them (can't carry bag move slower untill i put them down)

2. for stealth mission?

3. have you played planetside 2? it so much easier to see the target with it
www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1__llie26M

4. have you played big bank? portable spotter a bit more useful than the motion detector but only 1-2 use
ShadowAngel (Zabanován) 6. srp. 2014 v 8.48
1. Why would you need the Bots to stack up on a door? I mean, in Stealth, they wait and do nothing. In Assault, they're simply there to shoot cops and follow you automatically. You don't need them to stack up anywhere, you don't need them to tell where to break in.
Voice Chat should make it simple: "Hey you, go in from behind", "Hey you, grab the Drill".

2. The Barricaded Windows are a tiny help. Usually, they're gone after a couple seconds or 1-2 minutes. It made sense in Swat to close off rooms so criminals wouldn't go there. In Payday closing doors would lead to nothing, since everything is open, every building has multiple entry spots for the cops (even those tiny stores in 4 Stores: Cafe has 2 doors, China Shop has 2 doors, the other two have a ton of windows to enter through)
Think about it in the Big Bank: Which of all those doors would you close and how much would it actually help with the Entrance having 5 doors, the roof having another one and cops being able to rappel down from the broken ceiling window?
Swat usually only had 1 entrance points and usually enclosed rooms with 1 door or a maximum of 2. It worked there because the maps were made with that in mind. It wouldn't work here or at least wouldn't be helpful at all.
As for the Pepper Spray: Non-Special Cops already give up quite easily, if you have all the threatening and shouting skills and a loud weapons with all the Threat Bonuses, the Cops already ♥♥♥♥ their pants once you shout at them. Specials usually wear protection, so it wouldn't help there.
As for the Civs: They work a whole lot different than in Swat 4. In that game Civs refused to give up, they argued and argued and argued until you either zapped or sprayed them and even then some refused and needed a second load of pepper spray. In Payday 2 they scream, go down instantly and as i said: If not, punch them once. Done. There's really no need for it.

3 & 4 - Like i said: Civs give up fast. They're no problem at all unlike it was in Swat 4. As for Bean Bags: So you equip yourself with a gun which only has the purpose of hurting Civs and becomes totally useless once you encounter FBI and Swat guys? Because they just laugh at being shot with Bean Bags. Think about the whole mission and not just the beginning with the Civs.

6. Just have guys with Crowd Control go in or just storm it. Jewelry Store is by far the easiest mission to stealth or generally to control the crowd. No need for Gas Grenades

Other things:

1. Yes, the pathfinding is flawed but you know that you just have to shout again for them to go where you are? If they stop and ignore you, just shout again and again. I rather have that, than dragging a civ around, while probably being unable to shoot at enemies. Think about the situation: You're in the normal Bank, you grab a civ and drag him into the roof with the copying machine, you're defenseless because of the civ, cops shoot you from the front entrance and a cloaker comes through the vents. Fun, right?

2. How would closing a door help that? You control the Civs, so they don't do anything and Guards usually move around anywhere. If i was a guard, going through a door (let's say the door to the parking lot in the small bank), then turn around and see the door is close, i would get very suspicious. In non-stealth situations, the Cops would just look for another entry door or blow the door apart like we heisters do too all the time. I really don't see any practical use for it.

3. Doesn't the Spotter Asset do that? Highlighting all Guards, even through Walls.

4. Yes i have played it stealth and normal, it's a very fun mission after all. Still don't see how it would be useful in the game.
The only thing I want for now from SWAT4 is visible cable ties and... Animation showing you tying the civilian rather than they magically cross their hands after a few seconds =3

Hey I played Swat3 back in the day i always thought Payday got some influence for the Swat series.

1. I dont mean that we have to copy every command there is from swat 4 i want them to do something like "Wolf use shaped charge on that door" "Chain grab that bag and follow me" "Hoxton use ECM on that ATM/Security door" "everyone bag the loot"(then all bot would take any visible loot, bag them then drop them on the ground)

2. yeah i understand it useless nvm

3. what about when they give firearm to random civ they would pull out their gun and try to use it on the robber but due lack of training they will aim slower and sometime forgot about the safety switch or accidently drop the gun alltogether which give you a moment to take them down without killing them

where is 5. im joking sry XD

6. i want more variation and it would be usable on a crowd of non special too

the other stuff
1. i dont mean to make that replace it just make it optional

2. so i can hide the body in a isolated room like security room without wasting bag on it?

3. spotter don't cover the whole map.
