If I recall correctly, the update they just got was TU100. We're on what...?: TU150?
What does that even mean? When it comes to cross-platform play, it's not a simple flick of the wand. If we wanted to connect to filty plebs on Xbox, Microsoft would have to condone of it. Same goes for Playstation and Sony.
Not only do the companies have to OK it, but they also have to integrate the technology required to even do such a thing. I'm not too sure about the current standing of consoles, because quite frankly I couldn't care less, but the last time I checked, the idea of cross-platform play is actually in the works, or at least being discussed.
Also, this is more of an opinion on my part, but due to the horrid hardware they have- not in the consoles, but the controllers- things such as aiming would be unfathomably difficult for a console player in contrast to that of a PC user. As such, they would be used as a mop from a stanard Zeal unit- moreso than we already do.
Just imagine a level 42 from Xbox joining One Down Goat Simulator... God...
