Raider camps:
Raiders are infiltrating the forest. Are they friends or foes? Find out as Iki's curiosity rarely holds her back.

New creatures:
The massive Mossback has appeared in the forest. Usually a timid and kind beast, but something seems to have stirred his emotions.

Merchant:
Slithering around the various regions of the forest we’ll sometimes run into our friendly slimy merchant, selling all kinds of goodies.

Sewing lodge:
By obtaining the necessary building materials, the sewing lodger can be built. Allowing Iki and Tika to be able to create new clothes - making them stronger but most importantly more fashionable!

Cosmetics:
The game currently features 10 cosmetic outfits for Iki and 10 outfits for Tika. Here’s a preview for some of Iki’s cosmetics:

- UI was slow and used ESC, not in range of WASD - upper bodies look okay while lower bodies look like llamas on skis - no ability to jump, instead terrain must be searched for ramps - some grinding to pick up parts that cannot be used - more grinding to pick up berries that don't need to be eaten - a closed door that must be opened by grinding more pickups - no auto-pickup, or otherwise equipment automation - scanner was straightforward to use, results weren't always clear to see. - voiceover was okay, mi...

Hello everyone!

As the “Steam Next Fest” wraps up, I wanted to take some time to say thanks to everyone who's tried out the game. Your feedback is always appreciated!

As our game evolves with new and polished features, the current demo will soon not reflect the full experience we're crafting. To maintain a cohesive and accurate representation of our game, the demo will only be available for a few more days. If you haven't tried it yet, this is your chance!

Stay tuned for our next update, where we'll aim to give some updates on things currently in development.

Demo update 1

Hi! Some time has now passed since the demo was released. Thank you so much for trying out the game at this early stage, it has provided a lot of nice feedback and information!

The demo will now get a small update:

- Implemented jumping
- Fixed UI bug in storage
- Fixed UI bug in inventory
- Fixed several visual bugs

The rest of the game is progressing nicely. Can’t wait to show the world the full release of Children of the Forest!

Fun game with 2-3 issues

I liked what I saw and wish the demo was longer but yeah. Two things that really didn't work for me: - 1680x1050 is cut of on the sides. Making me not see the full game. - Jump seems to be delayed and not quite responsive every button press - Also this less a bug but more a critic: The characters talk soooo much. Like they are not unfun but they kinda comment EVERYTHING. Which gets old fast. Looking forward to seeing more of the game and how it will turn out in the end....

I will be clear... I barely played the demo. Why? Because I cannot use a controler neither as mapping the touchs on the keyboard. I feel sorry for you because there is not a lot of feedbacks but i honnestly cannot enjoy a game in these conditions even if the game looks cute and kinda interesting... Good luck to you, i wish you to get a lot of success but for now at leaast, it's a no for me :/...
