Thoughts on the new Heroic weapons for Patch 11.0
From what I saw it´s a mixed bag and some of them will probably see some changes.

Bolt Sniper- 10x Headshot multiplier and (if I understand that right) insta reload on a Headshot at the cost of much lower magazine and reserve would turn into a litteral skill cannon.
Should instakill any unshielded Majoris and Extremis with one headshot but makes every miss very costly, which is a fair trade off imo.

Heavy Boltpistol- Interrupting a Alert call with assumedly one shot is imo not worth the drastic reduce in ammo reserves. That one will probably see an overhaul down the line.

Instigator Bolt Carbine- 5 round Burst at a higher firerate.
Potentially very good on Sniper with "Dextrous Hands" and "Precision Targeting" reducing Spread and Recoil to quite a degree. Ammo will be a constant problem though.

Thunderhammer- Shockfield upon fully charged Attack. Kinda eh imo. Bulwark can make some use out of it since he can create shockfields on perfect parry/ block and further enhance it´s damage output. But if it is worth it to forego raw damage is up to you I guess.

Power Fist- Gunstrike mark on a nearby Majoris or higher after a finisher and double damage on light but half damage on charged attacks.
I rarely use Power Fist so I can´t really say much about it. The Gunstrike can be handy to restore Armor with "Armor Reinforcement" but it can also harm you when the Game decides to prioritize the Gunstrike over every other input.

Heavy Bolter- Maximum firerate immediatly, 50%+ Perfect Parry window and instacooling after Gunstrike but very low venting speed.
Firing at full speed immediatly and wider parry window sound nice imo. The Gunstrike cooling effect is an odd choice since it forces you more into close combat with a class which excells at ranged combat.

What are you thinking about the new ones?

The heroic weapons are mostly bad I just wish you could use their appearance on the standard relic weapons otherwise you're better off using most standard relic variations.
I think that the heroic powerfist need a dedicated build
heavy bolter is a different weapon that calls for a more melee approach
thunderhammer heroic can be a good tool in some hands
instigator: I am a 90% time sniper, and I think that it can be a good weapon with a very selected perk pool
bolt sniper, by far my favourite :)
looks like garbage. sniper kinda looks op but probably gonna be nerfed....
las fusil is stlll gonna be much better choice compared to bolt sniper due to laxed ammo economy
I just dont understand why the Devs insist on this "You can have 5 bullets total" design philosophy. It makes no sense at all.

The heroic instigator, heavy bolt pistol, and the bolt sniper rifle all have this same problem. Its, dare I say, lazy as hell to have all of your new weapons all suffer from the same drawback...nobody, anywhere, finds this entertaining or challenging, or engaging, or otherwise interesting. The heavy bolt pistol does what, stops reinforcement calls? Neat. Im definitely inclined to handicap the one and only ranged option I have as an Assault player so I can do the same thing I have always done, just a little bit quicker. It must have an absurd headshot multiplier to compensate for having fewer than 50 total rounds, right? Nope, i guess not. Well then it must have a weapon perk that regens ammo, since there is no way the devs expect you to get through Absolute/Hard strat missions with so little ammo right? No, it doesnt do that either. Well then it must otherwise be an absolute hand cannon that one shots every thing like a...no, no, it doesnt do that either.

Its a "rich get richer" weapon for Tactical. A true novelty piece as a sidearm.

The heroic instigator is less drastic, sniper will be able to make the best use of it. The vanguard is a decent class that mostly suffers from not being able to put alot of damage out...the heroic instigator would help with that, but youre going to run out of ammo long before you get to the first ammo crate. I guarantee it.

the devs don't play their game on lethal/absolute difficulties
I haven't used these, but as someone who plays mostly melee these days....
Heavy Bolt Pistol would only be good if it had the same or better stats than the high damage bolt pistol I am already using. Then the heroic effect is a nice bonus.

I don't think sacrificing raw damage for making summoning enemies explode is worth it.... not unless carnifex or hellbrute suddenly gain the ability to summon.

Thunder hammer looks meh.
My Assault is better off with the xenophase blade - I am just better with a sword.
My Bulwark is better off with a shield.
So what build is this heroic thunder hammer meant before?
It needs to make up for losing the use of a shield

My thoughts exactly.
Sniper can negate the Heroics Instigators weak 4+ accuracy with "Dextrous Hands" and "Precision Targeting" to quite a degree. And his prestige Perk "Versatile Precision" allows him to exchange sidearm ammo for more ammo for his primary.
None of those look good to me. Looks like a downgrade from the relic versions. Maybe the sniper is only one I'd look at.
tested the sniper in the ptr and its insanely good you will headshot majoris 1 shot with cloak attack and will get 1 bullet back in your magazine and with the prestige perk ammo ain't going to be a issue

Thunder hammer I can see being more useful on bulwark with bulwark able to buff shock damage.

Power fist is amazing on assault with the ability to jump in to a pack hitting them all and starting off a chain reaction executes/gunstrikes on any remaining majoris. All the while keeping up full armor with gunstrikes and executes.

Heavy bolter I had fun with the instant cooldown on gunstrikes with full rate of fire on button press. I was using strategic stand for boosted contested health recovery and was able to stand there firing away tanking any damage and doing a gunstrike to instant cool down weapon to keep firing. That big parry window too made it almost impossible to miss a parry.
Can someone tell me why i see only few heroic weapons? I see heroic variant of knife but for bolt sniper rifle heroic tier is "secret" - how can I obtain this wrapped sniper rifle?
The sniper sounds busted and I will definitely be picking that up first and using it as my main on Sniper, since I much prefer the feel of a bolt-action than having to charge up my las fusil.

The rest seem mid, honestly.

The hammer could be good, in an AOE Bulwark build but the fact that it's fencing and not block deducts points. The next best is probably the bolt carbine but ammo economy is a concern.

The heavy bolter not having wind up time is good but sacrifices headshot multiplier and accuracy (I think) for it, which probably isn't worth it. The power fist perk sounds gimmicky.

The worst is the pistol, which looks trash.
That heavy bolt pistol upgrade was not even thought out. Just hit them until they stop calling for reinforcements. Its not even hard; its dumb.
ARCH MAGOS I NEED A BOLT PISTOL WORTHY OF AN ARTISAN!
Best I can do is a vox scrambling heavy bolt pistol.
Like are you f*cking serious? There's nothing 'heroic' about that perk. Lame and gay.
