Hit/dodge registration and stun locks in this game are the worst I have ever seen
- enemies constantly stun locking you through 5 quick attacks without you even having a chance to react because your character doesnt do ♥♥♥♥
- enemies themselves ignoring stuns altogether and continuing their attacks through yours, disrupting your charge ups and attacks mid animation while being immune to the same effect themselves
- dodges not triggering whatsoever, leading to enemies connecting their attacks and locking onto you from 5000 kilometers across the map, hitting every single attack
- enemies cancelling even uncancellable abilities, animations and patterns eventhough they LITERALLY should not be able to (example: Assault getting hit by melee during ability use MID AIR, leading to the entire attack being cancelled and even losing hp)

Who desined this crap? This game is months away from being remotely properly programmed

Lets add that Marines are also extremely squishy and no where near as tanky as they should be. They feel weaker than the Tau in firewarrior. And that is saying something!

Yeah, that’s also my frustration. The Chapter Banner's skill of the Bulwark class is often stun-tagged to the point where it can’t be executed when surrounded by too many minions:sad_seagull:

I don't understand why the marines in power armour are so slow. They're supposed to be super human, in power assisted armour.

doesn't help that perks that say they make you immune, seemingly don't

This is the same reason I don't play the Assault class, even with the class perk where your heavy attacks cant get interrupted, (Supposed to be uninterrupted) you still get knocked out of a 100% charge heavy attack being knocked out mid swing after the whole 10 second charge dealing no damage and taking damage.

I'll let you in on a secret and a hint. Hint try mastering a few weapons fully and use parry melee. Secret is the little guys that attack you can eat up a dodge allowing the next hit to connect. Throw a parry in these instances after a dodge or during even. Just because you dodged or parried 1 doesn't mean the second won't hit dodge or parry it too first before you go for the gunstrike. Make that opening.

dodge not working happens if you hold the button down too long.

the default dodge button is the space bar.

holding down the space bar is also makes your character run. So if you press the button a little too long it doesn't count as a dodge. You cannot turn this off.

No idea why the game is like this since there's already a run button.

Yeah, it's a gross problem: I cannot always be sure that I hit or press a button.
Timing is crucial.

I have a bad habit of breaking teammate assault's aerial strikes by throwing frags in a bad moment, which stuns them out of their ability and drops them in the middle of crowd of warriors (luckily without chaff that was cleared by frag)

I'm not talking about combat methods; I'm talking about the game's mechanics. Why does using an ultimate ability get interrupted by one or several random attacks, or why is it that when using Guns-strike, there's a very high chance you'll be attacked immediately after firing? You're the only barrier; you can't dodge forever. It's clear that the melee design in this game has serious issues. There are times in combat when I'm surrounded, but a teammate throws a grenade, and I get staggered and then shot to death. The melee class can't cover the entire combat space. I'm willing to switch roles to gain a more stable stance for the melee class:love_seagull:
once you get it the game is super easy don't worry.

some ones playing on the hard settings before levelling up ! stop ego gaming and clicking on ruthless as a lvl 1 lol when you level up you get perks to stop getting staggered lol

No ability is uninterruptable. Even the hook from vanguard can be interrupted. Guy even says in another post 'i had FINISHED charging and was SWINGING and they interrupted me'. Rest is master your gear. Unmastered gear won't function all the time.

Edit: Oh and no matter what try to keep from rolling. Rolling is bad. Dodging is good. Learn the difference and you'll do fine.

Parry suffers from the same problems. You press parry in the exact moment but the game refuses to register it and has the enemy attack through your parry, your character refusing to parry but instead just doing the pointless animation and then getting hit.
