No, it's always been like that. Apparently too much server load they will be/are working on it.

As almost every post regarding connection issues has had posted in it for co-op, you have to go back to start menu to reset your connection to the servers. Then when you return to the battle barge you will be able to connect to other players like normal. Its not good or okay but it is what it is and thats the workaround right now while the devs work on hopefully fixing a lot of these issues.

Their matchmaking is just trash.

Ways to try to fix it. Exit to main menu, turn crossplay off then load in, go back out to main menu turn it back on. All the loading screens sure are fun though.

A fast fix is to switch to pvp mode, and then go back to pve mode. That for some reason fixes things.

The game has no content, what do you expect? People to play through the same boring reskinned Operations 100s of times with the same one meta weapon??? Game just sucks ass

Match making and the servers are a huge (still not fixed) problem.

Having to constantly exit to the start screen just to "reconnect" to a server is game breaking. Most of the time I just leave and go play something else.

That has working servers.
