Let us make progress offline and/or take away anti cheat for private single player operations.
let us make progress offline, once this game dies and the servers shut down we wont be able to unlock anything with how you've poorly designed the unlock system in game, you might not think your game has longevity but us fans know it does, you just have to care about your product first. also its a shame how solo players are being treated by the devs, you dont have the right to tell us we cant cheat in single player. there shouldnt be anti cheat for single player and we shouldnt be forced to play by the rules of multiplayer if we're not playing multiplayer ourselves. i bought this game on pc so i could mod it and play with bots and customize myself however i want but instead im forced to mindlessly grind like its call of duty on xbox just to get some colors and emblems and armor pieces, if i could cheat in my own single player lobby id be able to bypass your garbage system and make the character i want in the chapter i want but instead im being gatekept like a console gamer. i really wanna refund this as i bought the $100 edition but im sure it would get denied because i beat the campaign already and have about 16 hours, outside of the campaign this game isnt fun and i feel scammed. id still be a console gamer if i didnt mind being told what i could and couldnt do by the devs. as a pc gamer its my right to mod and cheat in any single player experience i choose, and me playing alone with bots IS singleplayer. Do better and treat your fans that are paying your bills right or give me my refund.

Sounds like another consumer who thinks because they spend money on something they are entitled to having that thing in a specific way, tailored to their personal preferences.
you're free to feel that way but everyone knows one of the main reasons for getting a pc is to play games your way instead of the devs way, if you dont like what i said that badly feel free to delete any mods for every single game you own that way you're not being a hypocrite,

There is offline progression totally.
But, when you connect your game back to their servers it will reset your progress to match the cloud. *ahem* There ARE ways around this of course.

I basically have one folder for the game that is for modding the heck out of it, and one folder for when my friends wanna play Co-Op with me. My modding folder never goes online, so my progress is saved on my PC, always. It's actually very nice to be able to play a game totally offline and progress.

Also, try my simple mod out for more Grimdark fun if you wanna play alone. :)

https://www.nexusmods.com/warhammer40000spacemarine2/mods/53

I have another personal mod that increases enemy spawns by x4, increases damage done and taken by x2, expands the bot companions to 6, also damage dealt by player and NPCs by x2, along with other cool things. But you'd have to contact me on discord for that, because it's not a mod for online play. :D
you bought a licence to a product not the product its self they can and will do what ever they please because you have no right.
Might try reading what you click yes to in future
and you only unlock skins so what is it you are on about

first of all thanks for the kind reply, as opposed to the soyboi responses im getting that are crying about mods and cheats in single player even though it doesnt effect them. and yes i did find out after i made this post you can save your offline progress by setting your steam to offline mode before launching the game, this way i can play the way i like and theres no chance for me to use online which seems to be peoples issues with me even though i dont want anything to do with the multiplayer anyway.

buddy i bought a pc and can mod and cheat in any game i like as long as im not bothering anyone else. what you're saying holds 0 weight.
While the game obviously lacks content, could be better etc. It's your mistake that you bought the title that is meant to be played in co-op to play alone.
Also with stuff like achievements, leaderboards etc. cheating in single player also can affect others.

Well, I was also disappointed when I heard there would be no offline progression, I'm glad they implemented it in SOME way though.

I also like to mod the heck out of my games, and don't care very much for online play. Unless it's with my friends or family. Mostly because of people like these guys responding to you telling you how you don't have a right to the thing you paid good money for. LOL

This is why I make sure to actually OWN my game, by any means necessary.

There's a cool modding discord channel where you can learn how to mod the game yourself and download other mods from people.

Got to love the way you tried to find loopholes using an exclusively singleplayer game like Skyrim which literally supports and encourages modding. This game is built on multiplayer. The fact it has anti-cheat and multiplayer already means you are breaking the T&C you agreed to "not cheating in multiplayer" or to "bypass detection methods". You are just blame shifting for your own negligence at researching if the game had protection or not.

The way you insult, are rude to others and the developers says a lot about you and your "I only cheat in singleplayer".

Then we got someone 'LOL'ing at us when one look at their profile is rather an awkward situation for them.
Should research what you buy so you don't get buyers remorse.

ive only been rude to and insulted people who have done the same to me first. you were rude and told me that im breaking t&c and that i have no right to mod the game i payed for, telling me that just because this game uses live service and has coop that i cant cheat even though im playing alone, insinuating that i should be banned because im having fun that you dont agree with. i understand that you think im using these cheats online but im not ive never cheated in any online game in my life and never will no matter what you say or think. fair enough though skyrim wasnt a good example, so how about left for dead or gears of war? imagine being upset because someone is using cheats while playing with bots, its something that could only upset a soyboy like you. and i didnt look at that guys profile before so i had no idea he was vac banned, but i thought you got vac banned from cheating in online lobbies with other players, not by yourself so what does that have to do with me exactly? do you think i should be vac banned for cheating in a lobby by myself? and since when cant i criticize garbage game mechanics that you see in mobile games?

i never bypassed any detection methods either, all i did was launch the game in offline steam mode where the detection doesnt exist, if that was against t&c you wouldnt be able to launch the game offline at all. so keep crying while you grind away for your sweaty jpegs, you spent 400 hours doing the same exact thing over and over again and getting nothing out of it, which is why you're upset at me. you're being forced to play that way while im playing the way i want and it eats you up inside.
Unfortunately devs at large have become allergic to media preservation due to live service brain rot
You are on a bad losing streak here. L4D2 also supports modding and literally has subscription mods in the workshop. Not the same thing as cheats. Once again you look for loopholes. So I'm rude for stating the obvious and pointing out what T&C says? I see you resort to insults again though. You are online the moment you use Steam. It is an online service. I'm not a lawyer, but I know enough to know they got it covered. I'll even post a link for you. There is no mistaking those conditions. No matter how you try and word it. https://store.steampowered.com/subscriber_agreement/#4

Now I think we are done especially considering you can't seem to construct a civil post.

go ahead and report me if you're so sure you're right. steam has no right to tell me i cant cheat in single player, if thats actually a policy of theirs and you arent making it up im telling you right now that i dont care and will keep doing it. me getting banned wont stop me from playing single player which is where im cheating to begin with, therefore its something they literally cant enforce. as you've seen with that account that was vacbanned that doesnt stop him from playing so it wont stop me.
