About the epic account...

I don't know why the "obligation" to have a EPIC account, i don't know how this works, but by my "understanding" they only hired the Epic servers to made it playable online, i don't intend to create a epic games account because it will be useless to me i only use steam as my digital platform on the PC and i have Ubisoft connect, ea play, rockstar games launcher and battle.net for some games that are exclusive to those stores.

Some DEV can clarify why the epic games account login? To have a better understanding?

I didn't purshased the game yet, but i want to do that in the near future, thx in advance....

Well it's not going to change, if you don't want to login into epic but log into everything else when you play that's a you problem. Literally the window popped up then disappeared i didn't even log in maybe because I already have an epic account on this pc but I didn't log into anything when starting space marines 2 up. i saw the epic window pop up then disappear in two seconds.

Maybe dont login to it then? its optional because the game launched on both stores so it supports.. both.

There is a lot of misinformation roaming around that topic since a lot of people return to monke real fast once they see something EPIC related. I hate them too but I dont care about EOS given by the fact that it makes sense that they use it for crossplay witrh epic launcher users.

You dont need an epic account nor do you have to log into it to play this game.

The game loads the epic online services.. thats it.

Loading them the Epic services is A NO-GO. NOPE. As long as it loads or installs anything related to Epic, I won't buy it. Never ever.

you can uninstall the service and you can still play the game (albeit with no crossplay)

as it is the EOS that connect you to the consoles aswell

You don´t need an Epic Account, once and for all, the only thing you will have to install is EOS, Epic Online Services, that´s all.

I just didn't make an epic account and link it to the game lol idgaf about cross play with EGS.

Well it doesn't say anything on the store page about it needing a epic account so it could just be for linking friends for epic and steam.

It does not need an account. It does not need the Epic app. It only installs core components for crossplay. Others have mentioned that can be uninstalled, though I didn't bother doing that as it doesn't matter to me.

I immediately disabled crossplay so I don't think EOS does anything for me
