He communicated with Magnus PSYCHICALLY until his "great" crusade arrived on Prospero, gave him his PSYCHIC ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ legion, and then sent him off to be the arm of the crusade that dealt with PSYCHICS. And instead of being a proper father, a proper LEADER he ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lets his other failed abortions throw tantrum after tantrum over the psychic powers that THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CORPSE EMPEROR GAVE THEM being used, interfering with military logistics, screwing over entire operations, and putting the whole ass crusade at risk just because they were made that Magnus and his sons had powers the CORPSE EMPEROR GAVE THEM and USED HIMSELF, leading to a kangaroo court where everybody got to air their grievances and then the CORPSE EMPEROR SIDED WITH THEM AND TOLD MAGNUS AND HIS LEGION TO STOP USING THE POWERS HE GAVE THEM, not only ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ over an ENTIRE LEGION in the process but condemning countless other psykers in other legions who were doing JUST FINE to imprisonment all to satisfy the egos of a few ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. ON TOP OF ALL OF THIS. the CORPSE EMPEROR refuses to tell anybody about chaos, provides NO interference for the clear warp ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that the Blue ♥♥♥♥♥ was getting up to, throws EVERYBODY to the side to go do his INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT WEBWAY PROJECT THAT HAD THE PRIMARCHS KNOWN ABOUT COULD HAVE ASSISTED WITH AND COMPLETED, leaving ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ LORGAR to be the little ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ he is and corrupt ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HORUS. And then when Magnus tries to SAVE HIS FATHER'S ENTIRE IMPERIUM BY WARNING HIM OF THIS the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CORPSE EMPEROR tells him off and sends Team FurAffinity to go arrest him, setting him up ENTIRELY to be intercepted by ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HORUS and start the burning of Prospero, where Magnus sat and allowed it all to happen because he was so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Loyal to his dad in spite of LITERALLY EVERYTHING that the only reason he intervened was because he couldn't stand to listen to his sons and his people literally begging him to help as they're slaughtered. And then, after all of this, only THEN does he join Horus, WITH THE INTENT OF BETRAYING HIM SINCE HE KNEW IT WAS HIS FAULT PROSPERO BURNED AND HE STILL BELIEVED IN THE IMPERIUM. And it took him getting TO THE THRONE ROOM and fighting VULKAN and nearly DYING after being told everything was his fault in a ♥♥♥♥♥-boy rant that meant nothing, to finally say "♥♥♥♥ this I'm out" and joined Tzeentch fully.

No he really didn’t.

If emps just been more straight forward about all of it, and treated like they were his sons( instead treating them like tools who should follow orders to the letter) he might have not teleported in, and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ everything up, then Russ prob wouldn’t havent been sent after him. So on and so forth. Hell, maybe Horus could have been saved too if he wasn’t just abandoned like that so emps could get smokes and milk from the webway.

What I love about all of it tho and how plays out like old Shakespearean tragedy, in the end, the emperor just a man and he most deff is fallible.

Magnus is a literal product of the Emperor. Magnus, Prospero, the whole Heresy was the Emperor's fault.

Magnus was a pretty cool guy. He tried helping out when he realised his brother was a bit too into spikes and rock'n roll, it just so happens that when Magnus tried warning the Emperor, he dropped the ball.

The Emperor dropped the ball in making Horus the Warmaster, but that part isn't as important, apparently.
