Graphics situation
Hi, just a random guy on the internet looking for a fix for the graphics situation. Worse case I might need an upgrade, but I feel my PC should at least meet the minimum requirements. However, the game looks like a claymation project with how smudged the models appear even after fudging with the graphical settings and running various "fixes" for an hour and a half. For reference, this is what im running.

GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT (6GB of Vram)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800x 8-core
32GB of ram

I also just did a driver update for my graphics card and still the game appears smudged. I also heard this game is getting called out for clocking CPUS at insane temps but ive yet to see that yet as im being cautious with my playtime in case I need to refund.

I know we're getting to the point where you need damn good GPUs to run the latest games, but my system runs fine with high graphics games such as Chivalry 2, Resident evil 4 remake, and Elden Ring to name a few. If anyone has any insight they could provide I would appreciate all the help I can get

Thanks!

Id recommend using FSR2 + Native and/or enable AMD image sharpening in the radeon games settings

TAA tends to make things look more smudged sadly

Well im unsure what would make a game require a good GPU then, as im just listing games that seem hardware intensive. I guess other games Ive ran just fine would be Helldivers 2, Vermintide, darktide (with the mindset that horde based games are more demanding). Oh and I can run Crysis 2 :B1:

I attempted everything you've stated and It still outputs a rather lack-luster picture. Im talking the intro characters pauldren with engraved text looking like one big smudge. And the ground/foliage textures looking similar to that. Im hoping this is a software rather than hardware issue with fixes soon to come. Until then I might just hold off on playing, or worst case just refunding for the time being.

same issues than yours here. some textures not loads like shoulder and some textures at ground . tried all like you i think it needed a patch or something for those kind of issues.

If you plan to upgrade, this is what a 5800x3d and 6900xt oc to stock 6950xt, 32gb ram and nvme runs the game like.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrDt_tBg-ag

It runs it well on high preset with fsr2 Q with 1440p selected in menu.

First part is normal / average areas and the second half is crazy worst case areas.

100fps avg in normal areas, 80+ fps avg in the crazy demanding areas.

You already have a 5800x so really its either 5800x3d or just bump to the next platform am5 and upgrade that gpu to at LEAST a 7900GRE imo.

For people considering upgrading soon with a mid / lower end pc.

You can get something equivalent to what I have for $1200-1250 US now if you build it yourself.

5800X3D new - $288
B450M new motherboard - $69.99
32gb ddr4 3200mhz ram - $50-$55
2TB NVME gen4 - $115-$120 (6000-7000mb/s)
240mm all in one water cooler - $55-$70
Standard atx case / mid tower - $50-70
Windows cd key from various sites online - $5-$20
750W psu $80 850W psu $90 for an evga mid tier
--------------------------------
Video cards you can go Used or new so many options
New 7900gre $523 - $550
USED 6900xt $400-$450 all day long

Put it together yourself = Free labor

$1250 is doable

If you want am5 platform it will be a little more.

Hello, I have the same problems.

I run a NVIDIA RTX 3050
11th Gen i7-118000H Intel processor
32 GB of ram.

I run and load games like Cyberpunk, Helldivers 2, and hell, even Greyzone which ran like dog water loaded it's textures properly, this (except Greyzone) runs at 40 FPS minimum, 60 FPS max. Space Marines 2 runs at 50 FPS consistently. Performance is not an issue.
I feel like this is an early access issue and we're just unlucky cause I tried things outside the game and can't fix this issue.

I made a report on the official site. If you encounter this bug, please go upvote my post so maybe the devs can do something.

I made sure to upvote that and other texture reports. hope they adress it soon. If they dont say anything by monday I'll probably return it. Ive put in just over 2 hours in game just messing with graphics settings and dont want to risk being stuck with a product I cant use

Hi, I have the same issue with the game, with NVIDIA RTX 3050. The game run ok but the texture never load and I cant change anything in the graphics setting (change and press apply but nothing happen)

My graphics card doesnt even show up. I restarted. App, cleared it, redownloaded the graphics, restarted computer, everything is up to date….
kingamir 7. sep. 2024 kl. 20:15
Yeah I’ve run anything I’ve wanted just fine on high settings. Red dead 2, CP, Skyrim with Nolvus mod pack, all total wars. It seems weird THIS game is the wall my pc finally hits. Hoping it’s just lack of optimization like when Hogwarts first released
