Let me put this ♥♥♥♥ to rest OP I myself am Bisexual I do not need my space marines to be Bisexual to be able to be able to enjoy the game. I just need them to be relatable and someone having the same sexuality as me , same gender , etc doesn’t automatically make them relatable to me.

The women in this community probably would much rather you stop trying to speak for them and trying to change something they have 0 problem with while trying to speak on their behalf because
anyone who’s a woman and is an actual fan of warhammer 40k does not need female costodes or space marines to feel included because they have read the lore and are aware that women already have their astartes/costodes
equivalent in the setting called the adeptus sororitas, not to mention they are also aware of several other powerful women characters in the setting such as Saint Celestine , The Emperors Wife who was the literal mother of the primarchs , you have the assasinorum in which a lot of assassins in the imperium are women.

Not to mention I myself am bisexual and do not want you ruining my favorite franchise on my behalf with your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ plenty of people who come from the communities you are claiming to speak for that are also are part of the warhammer 40k community are telling you to shut the hell up with your whining.

You have women are psykers which are essentially powerful warp wizards/sorcerers.

Don’t go into a community butting your nose into it because your lack of knowledge on it and the details Therin and requesting it be made diverse when it’s plenty diverse already.

You cannot speak for everyone who’s a woman , you do not speak for fans , and you barely think for yourself let alone speak for yourself. If you want to be part of this community you need to integrate properly.

You need to adjust to it and it’s content not the other way around; if try to forcibly change the lore or get pissy because the actual fans of this game desire consistency and dedication to previously established lore you will understandably be met with scorn and ridicule because you are intruding on someone’s space and hobby and demand they change it just to suit your needs.


Because these traits are arbitrary because they are a hollow way of relating someone of which the need of them by people comes about from one’s own insecurities and dissatisfaction with one’s own self based on said arbitrary characteristics.

The personality of the person is what you relate to and identify with not their arbitrary characteristics such as skin color , sexuality , gender , etc.

Either properly integrate into the warhammer 40K community respect our lore and our rules or GTFO

Not explicitly said so but yes, also some reference to 'son' was changed to 'child' in more recent texts. The horus heresy black books avoided specific gender too. Also yes Sisters Of Silence are a thing.

Hmmmm....it feels like you're making an assumption yourself. I am not trying to speak for women, if I were, I would state that explicitly. I'm expressing, that I, personally, support the idea of female custodes. I do not personally see anything wrong with that. Personally, I'm Black, and have played W40K since 3rd Edition, and guess, what, I do not particularly care that Black people are not huge in the universe. Who cares? Freaking amazing stories anyway. And stories, like people, evolve, over time, and with each retelling. Surely?

I only take issue with changing something and would rather they start something new, but history has shown the "few" who want those kinds of diverse changes aren't enough in number to keep it going or just want to cause an up roar but don't truly care for what's already there, so it will fail. So the solution is to take what already exists and change it for just a handful of individuals.
