None of the other classes will be lore-accurate either if they want any semblance of balance. Besides, not every freaking marine pysker is Gamma Plus. It's been done in RPGs and other games.
As someone else also mentioned, we're fighting the freaking Thousand Sons and the Tyranids, both who bend over other pyskers anway.
It would be incredibly easy to make even a strong pysker feel balanced against them. You're not going to out-pysker the Thousand Sons and the Shadow in the Warp is always a problem for pyskers.
My two favorites. Sad they aren't already in though but I guess they are super special in the Ultramarines.
ehm, there are not any Librarians in Darktide. A Librarian is a Space Marine. Darktide has only human psykers
What he's saying is that pyskers capable of consistent, dependable battle are rare and typically far more powerful than your typical human, so pyskers in Darktide aren't really lore-accurate, but they're still in the game and balanced alongside non-pyskers.
Very little in most games or the RPG books are lore accurate, because they have to be a game and the lore itself doesn't know what it's doing or wants to do, i.e. the long running jokes about titans and what lasguns really are.
well, I see your point. Ordo Hereticus and the Adepta Sororitas see it too xD. To tell the truth, I main as a trigger-happy zealot (lol, Iknow, it's my own personal built but I like to shoot things first and then axe them screaming "FOR HIM ON TERRAAAAAA!!!") in Darktide but lots of times I've played with psykers that could clear an entire level alone, without any help.
Terminators would be kinda cool. Perfect game and enemy to segway into a potential Space Hulk-esque mission etc.
Though adding new classes when i have not even played the 6 that are already in the game... I think it is a bit early to be asking for more...
