Surely they cant do all this work, in such a loved franchise, and then utterly bottleneck the seats sold, by forcing coop.

I don't know why wanting to play single player is a bad thing. It's not like he's asking for coop to be removed.

It's not that he wants it, it's that he thinks it wouldnt exist. SM1 was a singleplayer game with no coop, to think that they will make it so you can only play the game coop in the sequel is quite the anxious panicked reach.

1) The store page only has "online coop" listed, no single player.
2) A prequel being a certain way doesn't mean jack to the sequels, devs can and often do change up their game formula between games.

There was no panic, just a very basic. "they wouldn't do a game with this amount of work, and neglect the myriad of single players."

Also the first game literally didn't enter my mind.

Seems it will be like L4D2. You can play with bots or with friends. As long as I can pick between those 2 options it is fine by me (and I do a lot of singleplayer gaming). From seeing the videos, you wouldn't have any chance fighting those hoards alone (and those hoards do look epic in scale).

If I play this, I'd probably done the SP campaign in hardest diff and then playing the co-op alone...
