GOG Release?
I am really hoping this is coming to GOG.
The First Space Marine is on GOG, so this should be too … right?

do new AAA games often go to GoG? only AAA games I see on there are older titles, so you might be waiting a while

Not common but it happens, Baldur's Gate 3 is on there.

rarely. depends on the devs' mindset towards drm. you will never find the likes of take 2 or ea release one of their big games on gog ( talking about gta and fifa etc ) but it's getting more attention as more devs are willing to release their game on that platform.

I don't think Space Marine 1 being on GOG means anything for this game. As great as GOG is, their no DRM policy and 30 day refunds must put off a lot of studios. That is okay, not every game needs to be on GOG.

Larian is not owned by a Chinese mega corp.

GoG is mostly for older games, but maybe it will be available there at some point.

gog is mostly for AA and indie games at the moment since most of the older games are already on there.

More relevantly, Larian didn't include any DRM in Baldur's Gate 3. That's why most new AAA games don't appear on GOG; they only sell DRM free games.

It's a big part of it. Own what you buy, what a concept.

I'm sure there's some part of an EULA somewhere that says publishers can remove their software from GOG's store and your account if they need to for some reason. But the fact you can download a game's installers and just store them locally once you've bought it on GOG kind of makes that a moot point.

It's why I prefer to buy from GOG when I have the option. No client required (and I actually like Galaxy because it can show all my games on other clients too), no DRM, and a 30 day no-questions-asked refund policy.
