- Unlocks are tied to story progression and farming
- Every online mode was removed
- A Race mode with specific stages was introduced
- There's now a challenge version for every story stage (instead of hard mode)
- The game was rebalanced to be less grindy
- Some events important to story were converted to story chapters
- It's much more easy to unlock event items now
- You can have up to 5 save files
- There's Steam cloud, but you have to upload your save manually pressing a button in game
- You can access events at anytime after you unlock then by level 60
- PvP skills were changed to singleplayer focused ones.
- Most of the hand holding is gone: after the first stage, the game let's you figure things out by your own
