How much changed (and was added, if any) from the F2P version?

a lot. read the Steam reviews, they can cover a lot of what you want to know... it's a very good conversion to a singleplayer game.

Summarizing:
- No Gacha
- Unlocks are tied to story progression and farming
- Every online mode was removed
- A Race mode with specific stages was introduced
- There's now a challenge version for every story stage (instead of hard mode)
- The game was rebalanced to be less grindy
- Some events important to story were converted to story chapters
- It's much more easy to unlock event items now
- You can have up to 5 save files
- There's Steam cloud, but you have to upload your save manually pressing a button in game
- You can access events at anytime after you unlock then by level 60
- PvP skills were changed to singleplayer focused ones.
- Most of the hand holding is gone: after the first stage, the game let's you figure things out by your own
- There's a Music Player now (you cannot change the hub music normally though)
- There's a new short intro and an extended ending with post credit scenes

Those are the changes I could recall from the top of head, hope that helps.

reviews LITERALLY cover this topic, a majority of them talk about the pros/cons of this over the gacha ver, and that's why it's a very positive rating too. they go directly into detail about all the stuff SparkTFS jsut said for instance.
It's still a mobile game with all the dumb stop and go pacing and padding of one but the excess of a mobile game with the grind set to fast forward turns most of the negatives of a mobile game on its head so you have an infinite weapon/character combo power fantasy fanservice fest to grind up whoever you like as much as you like.

This would be the answer I would be looking for.
