This game or EXE collection?

Would it be more prudent to acquire the EXE collection first and wait for a sale for this game?
(Never played the gacha version of this game).

EXE = battle network collection? if you've never played before it's a really good RPG with a real-time battle combat system on 3x3 grid. Long series too, may last you longer than this. however, as a standalone singular game, this is one of the best they've ever released and has more content than a single BN game, maybe even bn 1&2 combined.

This is more or less a full X experience with RPG elements like crafting armor, leveling up weapons/characters/ranking them up to unlock new abilities/etc, characters and weapons do feel genuinely different and the EXE characters are here too (i just finished maxing out Dark Megaman.exe for instance) but it depends on the style of gameplay you want.

They are very different games. Do you want an RPG with card game elements (EXE) or a platformer with RPG elements (X DiVE)?

I want to get the battle collection, but buying only 1 of the packs is way to expensive for my taste, so im gonna wait till its on sale or gets a price drop before picking up volume 2.

EXE collection? Guesting Mega Man Battle network collection. I do recall people can download pirate those games with out paying. It is illegal for doing so....

The Japanese name for Megaman Battle Network is Rockman EXE, so a lot of people, myself included, refer to the series as the EXE series for simplicity.

Not really. It really is more about what you want. I will say IF you want the message heard NOW is the time to buy. If you don't care about sending a message to Capcom i always say wait.

I can say the game is honestly decent and there is a good selection of charaters to play around with.

If you want to jump into an action platformer, X DiVE will do. Easy to get into, and many weapon/character combinations to try. You might hit a couple walls, but the materials received from permanent event stages are actually quite generous.

If you want an RPG experience, EXE Collection. A bit grindy to get perfect folder setups, but every game in there has a post game and PvP is a thing once you 100% the games and get familiar with the battle systems in each game.
