New command: nyx

Nyx performs encryption and decryption for the algorithms it supports.

Kasiski examination

Nyx performs a coincidence analysis on a ciphertext with an unknown key length and then attacks to crack the ciphertext according to the key length returned as a result of the analysis. This process is subject to restrictions.

New command: neeko

The cute little kitty neeko can accompany you through the challenging process of CHAQS.

New command: mousemove

Moves the mouse cursor to the corresponding coordinates on the screen also performs left click, right click and left double click actions for mouse. Runs on native os.

New command: checksum

Computes the md5 or sha256 checksum of a file. Computes md5 by default.

New command: alias

Assigns alias to the command.

New command: mandb

Allows user-created manual pages located under the /chaqs/usr/share/man directory to override the default manual pages.

New command: history

Shows up to 10 last commands executed

New command: ps

Reports a snapshot of the current processes. Subject to restrictions.

New commands: kill & killall

Kill sends a terminate signal to the process with the specified process id. Killall sends a terminate signal to all processes, but bypasses the terminal.

New command: apropos

The apropos command shows the manual descriptions that contain any of the word specified by the user.

New command: factor

Prints the prime factors of specified integer number.

New command: tac

Concatenates and prints files in reverse

New command: xclip

xclip reads a file in CHAQS and copies it into the system copy buffer and pastes the value from the system copy buffer into the terminal input field.

New option: waveform

Audiodecoder can render waveforms of audio files and save the results as a PNG

Merged command: base
Commands for 32, 58, 64 and 85 base representation of binary data have been merged under the base command.

Added sfc(fsck), challengers, cowsay commands.
The Piet programming language interpreter has been revised and the process has been made asynchronous.
Fixed an issue that caused Shark to analyse a pcap file 3 times.
Fixed an issue where the autocomplete method would not notice the status when switching between terminal tabs.
Added an option to the menu that automatically copies the last output to the system copy buffer.
Imported files are no longer automatically converted at startup.
The structure of the Terminal has been revised.
The terminal scrolling sensitivity can be adjusted.
Clicking on the output area to give focus to the input area was not possible as it conflicted with highlighting, it is now possible.
Revised the linq2chaqs command.
Added commands that are not listed but may be functional.

Command guide panel

The command guide indicator on the taskbar provides one-line manual page description of terminal commands. Now you can quickly search for commands from this panel without having to go to the menu interface.

New command: translate

The translate command requires an internet connection. You can use it to translate one language to another if you need it.

Terminal's autocomplete functionality has been revised.

The following are the updates that have been silently made since the last regular update.

Added ipconfig command.
The root directory has been revised.
Fonts revised.
Added asynchronous parameter for import and extract commands.
The case of text overflowing in the quick note widget has been fixed.
Notepad revised
Minor changes have been made to the menu.
Minor UI improvements have been made.
Provide command can now modify default api calls.
The tab key can cycle through selectable items in the setup panel.
The new game button in the opening scene will ask for confirmation if there is a saved game.
The vast majority of Challenge 13 Regex's tasks have been changed. Existing correct answers will not be affected.
Refresh library buttons in the music player, video player and photo gallery have been made asynchronous.
Fixed situation where find command could not find all files due to / prefix.
The following commands have been revised.

Snap layouts

Snap layouts are a series of predefined zones where you can place each app for quick access. Snap layouts help users arrange applications in five different ways.

As shown in the animation below, you can access this feature from the panel that opens when you drag any application to the middle-upper part of the screen. This feature is disabled by default.

Keyboard hook

The keyboard hook allows for easy switching between programs in CHAQS and disables the operating system's native Alt+Tab combination while CHAQS is running. In case the keyboard hook is active, you cannot use the alt and tab keys of the operating system in any way. Can be activated once per session. This feature is disabled by default.

Other updates are below

Browser+ app has been revised and a situation has been noticed. If the plugin server file needed by the Browser+ application is somehow deleted, this situation will be displayed in the program. If this file is deleted, the Browser+ application is no longer accessible.
The entire interface has been revised due to the Snap layouts feature. Apart from this, the positions of the content of the pages required for the challenges opened via the Web Browser used in the in-CHAQS interaction may be affected.
Since it was seen in the two reports sent by the players that the players could not pass the invitation stage, when the terminal is opened for the second time in this scene, an additional message will be printed to the terminal.
The contact widget has been added to the CHAQS as the report a problem button does not allow the player to send an additional message. Only one contact request can be made per session.
Revised the case where the wget command could not name the file correctly even if the file content is retrieved when the corresponding header value is txt/plain.
Fixed a bug with the wget command not terminating its functionality. The download limit has been increased to 50 MB.
Added 12 hour format option
4 of the default backgrounds have been changed.
The interface of Pwsh+, Native and Stegoimage programs has been reorganized.
Removed the video link in the message sent to new challengers.
The transition color option has been added to the interface command.. For this option to be active, the particle color option must be set otherwise it won't work even if it appears active.
First name can no longer contain spaces.
Improved the process for password recovery.
Browser+ and Pwsh+ programs will no longer be on the desktop of new challengers by default.
