Let's hope they do a flip when jumping the cliff - that would be lit
and know comes an arena game that dont interist me :(
i have played PS2 but there was an lag of new fresh things! and you dont use the potential of the game (look at planetside 1)
PS: sorry for the bad english!
1) Replayability value. The game have became stale. Yeah, the battles are awesome and some cool features, such as base construction was added. Some pretty awesome weapons such as ATGMs for Engineers, Valkyrie transports, bases restructured to be unique BUT.... the game really hasn't changed. It is still old on the rails Latice lines bottlenecks. Acidic water (WTF?). The same Domination (hold the points) gameplay. Basically giant herd running towards one objective instead of strategic and tactical gameplay.
2) Balance of weapons in vehicles. - This is never ending story. Many complain of OP weapons and vehicles. However in my opinion? - I believe the NUMBER ONE OFFENDER IS THE NERFBAT! Seriously, when PS2 came out, ALL OF THE WEAPONS to some degree had been EFFECTIVE. AP cannons on the tanks could of been used on infantry in the pinch. HE was a bit overpowered, but great and not that reasonably overpowered, and someone with AP cannon on a tank could of easily defeated someone with HE. Infantry is and was still effective against tanks with their AT weapons. Liberator AP cannon was useful all around and on the same par as HE cannon. Nerfbat made Liberator AP cannon practically unusable.
Weapons was more or less Unique.
I had been harping on the DBG forums INSTEAD OF NERFING EVERYTHING HOW ABOUT INSTEAD YOU BRING EVERYTHING UP TO THE OPED WEAPONS AND EQUIPMENT? Instead it was NERFBAT AFTER NERFBAT and on the top of that, to keep their budget afloat THEY STARTED TO INJECT PAY TO WIN WEAPONS AND SKINS. So not only, you already had been trending on the wobbly ground, but now you just kept shooting yourself in the foot repeatedly with pointlessly added content as pay to win weapons.
I believe for Planetside 3 to work, i needs to scrap all of this latice lines ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and go with more modern approach of letting players play the game how they want to.
Scrap all bases and let players summon base sctructures either prebuilt template models, dropped on the map (how they look) or let them build them up on the ground like Fortnite or Squad.
Weapons and equipment should not be nerfed or overly specialized. Instead weapons and equipment that are felt weaker or ineffective should be buffed.
PS IMPLANTS WAS REALLY BAD IDEA AS WELL. Instead of making them as PS1 style implants, DBG WENT ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CRAZY!
I know right. Reading is so hard. I mean reading has words. Who knows what those are?
planetside arena is frackin strupid
take all that money you wanted to use on planet side arena and throw it into a new better planetside game or throw it back into planetside 2
Now PUBG and Fortnite are the current trends, they'll do the same to you. instead of drawing on the template from the original game, so far ahead of its time (even today) and giving us something epic. They just follow what they believe is the next easy cash cow which is Battle Royale.
All Daybreak has to do is remake the original. It's all there for them. The pacing, the balance, the flow, the choke points, the unlimited play styles and non-combat support roles. The way players dictate the fight and the many side battles on different continents that benefit the main battle. They left it all out in PS2. Such a disappointment.
This.
