xbox 360 controller support any good now?

been gone for months and was wondering is the x360 controller is more effective and functional now.

I have a 1.2 kd on tribes ascent with xbox controller and thats because i play against people using keyboard and mouse. I suck at mutiplayer fps controller gives you a really big advantage.

Not even touching on the subject of M/KvsController the support for this game for gamepads is garbadge. The settings from the get go screw you over

Hmmm I don't have any of those firing issues, maybe it is because I am using xpadder. The aim assist is the main prob, though I always turned aim assist off when playing on console, so maybe I'm better aiming than I should be, who knows. Using the flash still scares me. Good video though.
