PlanetSide 2 Overheat

When i start the game,i create a charakter,enter a server,and after 15 minutes,my laptop overheats (well almost,laptop shuts down before overheating)
I want to play the game so badly over a LONGER time,it´s so good
Please,help me o.o

I have the same problem. Is this game really so poorly optimized? I have no problem with other games that have way better graphics.

Any idea which settings are the main cause of the problem? I really don't feel like playing with minimal resolution and minimal graphics.

do you have a laptop cooling mat? i would not play a game on my laptop that would cause it to overheat. it will destroy the computer quickly. im using an asus g74 my i7 runs about 75c when under a full load.

maybe your vents need to be cleaned

I do not have a cooling mat. I guess I should get one given that I use my laptop for games a lot. I very much doubt the problem is dust in my vents. When it's heating up large volumes of hot air get spewed out by the vents, no sign of any obstruction. I will open it up later to confirm.

PS2 seems to cause (what is guess is) my GPU to heat up more and faster than any other game I play.
