Whats the best TR carbine?

Been playing a lot of light assault, but the carbines all seem very close.. stat wise.

You're thinking assault rifle.

That said, the TRAC-5 S is a decent one to go with for the versatility. The Lynx might be worth looking into as well.

trac-5 is an overall good weapon

Lynx is for close quarters, though still very versatile

trac-5-S if you want a very adaptable weapon

And if you're like me who hates TR weaponry for some reason, the NS-11 C...

If you insist on getting a carbine for your light assault as TR, you're going to have a bad time. VS and NC carbines are miles ahead of the TR ones. They have a much better variety to choose from (845 Rate of fire or 167 damage) and are in many cases straight up superior.

Anyway, I'm going to go over the details of the TR carbines. Starting from worst to best.

T5 AMC -> widely regarded as one of the worst weapons in the game, trades rate of fire for bullet speed in a sad attempt at matching the (godlike) Pulsar C.
TRAC-5 Burst -> don't bother with burst weapons, there is no benefit to them
TRAC-5 -> default
TRAC-5 S -> has our underbarrel grenade launcher, no redeeming factors otherwise. If you want to cheese out kills in a biolab, this is your weapon of choice. Switch to other weapons if you actually want to shoot people.
LC3 Jaguar -> straight upgrade to the Trac 5, no downside. If you like a versatile playstile, this is the one, but keep in mind that you're still going to be outgunned by the other factions carbines.
LC2 Lynx -> good close range carbine, not as good as the PDW-16 Hailstorm SMG after it's nerf and sadly nowhere near as good as the Serpent or the GD-7F for VS/NC.

TL;DR: Get the Uppercut shotgun for close range or the PDW-16 Hailstorm if you don't like low skill oneshot weapons. Get the Jaguar for medium range.

So should I stick with just the Trac-5? I use my AS16 Nighthawk most of the time but I want a carbine you know.

If you already have a shotgun, stick with the Trac-5 or buy the Jaguar. The difference between the two is definitely noticeable.

The Lynx is a good gun, but sadly useless slightly outside of SMG range due to it's recoil and damage drop off.

Yeah I'll stick with my shotgun lol. I tried VC and they're okay but I don't know why but I like VS almost as much as TR. VS just seems really cool and their default guns for light assault and heavy assault are pretty awesome.
