Well it was more or less what you think I should run at. i7 3610QM (2.3-3.3GHz) 16 gb RAM, nVidia GTX 670M with 3 gb dedicated. In the Warpgate, I run about 45-52. Battles... down to about 28 or so. I heard that may be relatively normal, but I'm not sure. And I do believe that it says [CPU] more often, so I'll have to try changing some stuff up again.

yeah your cpu is the limiting factor here, not much you can do though except maybe turn down shadows and aa

That's what I thought. I may upgrade to a 2.7-3.7 GHz at some point. Not that that would make a HUGE difference, but every little bit helps.

yeah were all hoping theyre somehow able to distribute some of load over multiple cores that would really help a lot for a lot of people.. but iam not sure how technically viable this is for developers on a relative new engine, my guess is if it was easy to make to utilize the entire cpu they would have done so already
Knok 20/abr./2013 às 7:43
True. People do still consider it to be in like... "Beta," although it is released. They still have stuff to implement like possibly Ragdoll, so hopefully they will optimize it a bit more before then.
Noizzzmaker 20/abr./2013 às 7:46
well it will always be in some sort of perpetual beta state anyway due to the nature of the development of this game, theyll be adding stuff for years to come as long as it stays successfull enough.. and that means optimizing aswell.. but there's a reason why you dont see 250 player bf3 maps, theyre a pain in the arse to realize well enough so you have to comprimise on other things for now, like ragdoll.. which would put another strain on the cpu mostly
Knok 20/abr./2013 às 7:52
Right, hahaha. Not to mention they are still messing around with buffs and nerfs on weapons and vehicles for balancing purposes.
Noizzzmaker 20/abr./2013 às 7:56
balancing is an infinite process :P

@kn0k44 Your CPU is pretty good, your RAM is more than you will need, and your GPU is excellent, but I need you to tell me your settings before I can help you.

I am playing with a HP Pavilion g7 4GB 1,2GHz, and I can only play on lowest... get 8GB, it is much better, I think. But it may also be the CPU... :D

Mainly bad cpu causes low framerate in planetside 2.
The Regurgitator 21/abr./2013 às 10:32
@[Jackass] also MaximumFPS should equal 60 (unless you can get higher AND have a better FPS monitor)

not even 4gb will do it

try 8gb nvidia gtx 550 ti with any i7 processor but 4 now or even if u upgrade ur ram ur pc will ligit go to flames

bad idea and i dont know what other people r saying

Im playing with 4 gb, AMD 5470 Graohic Card with low graphs and its working fine. There was no lag since i started playing this game in Beta. (sry for my bad english, im from Austria :D)
You should upgrade to at least 4GB RAM, probably 6GB. PS2 is very competitive so you might play it on off-peak hours on minimum settings, but 2GB RAM is very ancient in PC specs.

i would reccomednd at least 4GB ram to play this game as i use a GTX 680 i5 2500K oc to 3.8 GHZ and 10GB ram and still only get between 40-60FPS but i gues with razer game booster you could just manage it. I could help more i f you give me your pc specs
xd 24/abr./2013 às 23:53
and that versin of i3 is TERRIBLE so you should really get an upgrade
