There is no AI yet, but there have been some plans for it, and people been playing around with the idea of having PvE content.
Since the Devs were talking about using AI for the Virtual Training area people been speculating how else it could be introduced. Especially now that they brought back the first automated turret.
But long story short... if there will ever be PVE it will take place in an open world PvP environment, so no you won't escape PvP.
You might gain a little credibility if you'd stop adding file extensions :)
You are probably going to die within minutes, because of the amount of players, but it is an incredible game, and you get better the more you play
Depends on your previous experiences with FPS. If you come from a background of Hitscan, Arena FPS... like say CoD... you pretty much will suck at the start.
If you come from a background of say ARMA type of FPS.. you'll probably do just fine.
Your mileage may vary. I think if you know how to handle FPS guns that actually have recoil to them, you'll be fine. If not.. it will depend a lot on the faction you start with how easy it will be for you.
Different factions have different skill ceilings.
Playing 100v100 fights in an open world environment literally means that the bullet can come from literally everywhere to kill you. Kill/Death rating is quite meaningless in this game.

Try it. Its a free to play game. All you need is a bit of time to download. Unless you want to use the Steam Wallet i do suggest you get it from the Website, or you'll download the client twice (once through Steam and then the launcher will go: all those files are outdated, here have a new one).
I think its worth trying. As TF player you probably understand the concept of Flanking, which will set you ahead of the curve.
But as i said.. K/D is meaningless in Planetside 2. Its more a personal ego thing than a useful metric.
I agree. Though there still will be some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that brag with their K/D (like me for example, lol). But unless you provoke them they will shut up.
