PS if you are VS or NC their ES launchers scale extremely well when in numbers vs armour columns.
besides, it's way more fun to wipe out a whole bunch of bad guys and know you did it single handedly ;)
2 sticks of C4 is the only way you're going to be able to outright destroy a tank single handedly. All other launchers require teamwork to take down larger vehicles.
With launchers always fire at the rear of the tank, it always does a very large amount of damage.
Or unlock even 1 stick of C4. 1 c4 + 1 rocket or AV grenade on the back can destroy even an MBT
It always was an Anti Air rapid fire launcher with dumbfire.. to my knowledge.
Before that, it was a multiple lock-on rocket launcher. In other words, like an Annihilator, but shooting 5 smaller rockets. SOE changed the weapon at the beginning of October.
In a fairly recent update. You can either "snipe" ground targets with it and it also locks on to air targets at about 30 meters range( I believe that is the official distance) However you can also lead air targets and do a decent amount of damage even though they are "out of range"
Heavy Assault - make sure you equip a Munition Pouch[planetside.wikia.com] and have anti-armor rockets equiped.
I've solo killed tanks with my M9 SKEP Launcher[planetside.wikia.com].
The weakest place on a tank is the rear. If you can get behind them you stand a fair chance of taking them out.
Try going to the VR Training Facility[planetside.wikia.com] and try out different rockets on the tanks to get an idea. Keep in mind when you're fighting live tankers they will be tougher.
It was always a 5 round variant of the Anihilator or more correctly the Anihilator was a variant of it, it was nerfed into mediocarity then October after long tears of not having anything unique under our launchers like Lancers or Pheonixs SOE reworked the Striker into a full auto hand held coyote esque launcher.
I am barely playing heavy, so i'll take your word for it. I just remember it being a problem with Anti Air.
