SCREEN goes black, reboot required
This is really annoying BUG and looking on internet haven't found working solution yet.

I have a really weird bug that appeared in last days - maybe within last week. I play PS2 and screen goes black, I can hear voices, it appears game didn't crash, i just don't see anything on TV. TV is receiving black signal from videocard. ALT+TAB to desktop doesn't work and I have to hard reset the PC. after restart I run the game and being 2minutes in game I get black screen again. I didn't change anything on my config recently. I know that CPU and GPU have acceptable temperatures. But still it seems as PS2 turns my GPU off. Happens only in PS2 gameplay.

i7 2600K
16GB Ram
Radeon HD 7950
Driver Packaging Version 14.501.1003-141120a-177998C
Catalyst Version 14.12 AMD Catalyst Omega Software
Sharp LED TV

*UPDATE* forced into Windowed mode through UserOptions.ini and it works ok. No black screen after 90mins. However, I don't like to play in Windowed mode.

really noone? Seen plenty of posts on internet with bug like this. It could be the newest drivers doesn't support some of the graphics update recently added, not sure.

You could run it in fullscreen windowed. Still counts as windowed, uses the whole screen and makes Alt-Tabing faster.

Yeah, figured out that today, thank you. It looks pretty much like before it's just weird how I'm forced to switch from fullscreen to windowed from day to day. But at least I can play the game again.

I been getting GPU crashes the past 1-2 weeks now in PS2. Can't figure it out, not sure what brought it on. Seems to only be in PS2, though I haven't been gaming much in this time... reinstalling drivers doesn't seem to help. i don't have to reboot necessarily, but the event viewer shows the driver restarting when this happens... used to run great.. no trouble at all on this rig for 1+ year
