why are you posting it here?
1. devs/mods/admins do not read any of those topics, in fact ps2 staff has nobody here checking those posts. only valve employees deal with reported posts and take action if they violate steam-wide rules.
2. record a clip using any loop recorder such as shadowplay, keep it around 90 seconds, if you see a cheater, then save the clip.

ps2 doesn't have much staff left, but if many players record the clip and make a proper report, they will take action.
just MAKE SURE you follow the reporting guide EXACTLY as described! i have been admin/mod in several servers and websites and i know how frustrating it can be when people are too dumb to follow instructions, they just post some "blah blah ban this cheater blah here" ... i usually never bothered to check those reports. if someone can't follow simple instructions, then whatever.
you have to make a report in a way it's easy for mods/admins to check. this is why you have to include timestamp, name and video proof.
if you're using shadowplay, it saves the clip with time in filename, so you can get timestamp from filename. otherwise check time from steam overlay and use steam notes to write it down.
also make sure you include your timezone or use UTC time.
why you posting this its about as useless as a dev seeing the dude cheat they dont care anymore man .. they got their money

battleye is NOT made by ps2 devs, nor is it managed by them. battleye is standalone anti-cheat and it is being updated on regular basis.
they most likely forward reports to battleye devs or you can directly send reports to battleye aswell. send them clip of a cheater.
in case you didn't know, battleye is separate service and program. for example if you have more than 1 game that uses battleye, you only have 1 battleye service.
it means, battleye devs are able to see what tools / programs the cheater is using. there are 2 types of bans, one is issued directly by ps2 devs (very unlikely) and other one is battleye ban, which is issued by battleye devs.
so if battleye devs see the report and check their logs, they can ban the cheater without needing any interaction from ps2 devs/staff at all.

don't believe me? go ahead and grab some known cheating tool like cheat engine and see how fast you get battleye banned when using it.
The devs dont just sub to battle eye, they got options on there end on how they set it up.
So that its more or less usefull, but we got no insight on how well that is. So i'm suprissed that cheating is not more "rampent" then it already is.
yes devs have to set it up, but battleye (not battle eye, there's 1x E and it's one word, "battle eye" is completely different program) has its own features that are always active, such as battleye updated blacklist, it works similar to anti-viruses, where no anti-virus update is needed, it just downloads the new blacklist database and detects viruses based on signature or by its behaviour.
this is how battleye works aswell, it has its own black list and it can ban you even if devs haven't properly set it up. for example if you use known cheating tools, it can ban you.
for example AIMBOT / AIMLOCK is detectable by battleye even if devs haven't set it up properly, it analyzes your mouse input data and it can detect aimlock / aimbot just based on mouse input data.
also battleye can detect memory injections and known cheat/cheating tool signatures, those are updated in battleye database and not by game devs.
game devs can implement further checks to determine if someone is cheating, like if someone moves from point A to B faster than they should, then they'd be banned.
this was done in old game called "WarZ" (it's now called infestation survivor stories), anyone who moved from A to B faster than you can run, got instantly banned.
i remember this, cuz some players got falsely banned as they glitched down the mountain which allowed them to move faster and this triggered a ban.
also if you was glitching on top of places you shouldn't be able to go, then game considered it as "flight hack" and auto kicked you (no ban).
also battleye takes screenshots, altho this feature must be implemented properly for it to work with game, because by privacy laws, it can only take screenshot of the software it's running on (game), if it would screenshot your desktop, they'd probably get lot of lawsuits for privacy invasion.
so people's understanding on how anti-cheats (like battleye) works, are usually wrong.
but yes, it would be much more effective if devs would implement certain features, like detecting impossible movement speed changes, flight hacks ..etc
To be Devils advocate: I've , yes surprisingly, I've recently been replied to by a DEV in these very Steam forums, only on Friday i think it was, when i posted casually i couldn't log in, he came on and said we are working on it. i was surprised to say the least, but in this case i feel you are incorrect.
