If so, open your control panel by typing in "Control Panel" into your start menu and follow these steps!

1. Select Internet Options
2. Select Connections
3. Click LAN Settings
4. Uncheck "Use a Proxy Server for Your LAN"

I spent 2 hours looking for this simple fix... You don't just uncheck the "Use a Proxy Server for your LAN." You also uncheck the "Bypass proxy server for local addresses"

Here is the fix add this to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc hosts

Add these lines at the end of your hosts file and do not remove the other information in that file
64.37.171.24 lp.soe.com
64.37.174.148 lvspsn-liv-l01.planetside2.com
80.239.178.24 manifest.patch.station.sony.com
69.174.204.11 forums.station.sony.com
64.37.171.29 auth.station.sony.com
64.37.171.22 planetside2.com
64.37.171.22 www.planetside2.com
68.232.34.133 pls.patch.station.sony.com
88.221.15.43 pls.patch.station.sony.com

if if you are not able to modify the file use this step by step
1. Click on Start Button
2. Rt. click on 'Notepad'
3. Click "Run As Administrator"
4. Click "Continue" on the prompt
5. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\ using Notepad's 'Open' location option.
6. Select 'all files' and then choose the 'hosts' file. Make necessary changes and save

if anyone cant uncheck the proxy server go to internet property's then to security. you should see a checkbox with enable protected mode. uncheck this and you can change the checkboxes you need to

Drücken Sie gleichzeitig auf die Tasten [Windows] und [R], sodass sich der Befehl "Ausführen" öffnet.
Geben Sie hier "inetcpl.cpl" und bestätigen Sie mit "OK". Anschließend öffnet sich ein kleines Fenster.
Wechseln Sie oben zur Registerkarte "Verbindungen" und klicken Sie unten auf den Button "LAN-Einstellungen".
Sollte sich hier ein Haken vor der Option "Proxyserver für LAN verwenden" gesetzt sein, entfernen Sie ihn.
Schließen Sie die beiden Fenster mit "OK", werden Ihre Einstellungen gespeichert. Sollte der Fehler nicht behoben sein, lesen Sie im nächsten Absatz weiter.
