My max is too weak?
I'm a new player, so i may be doing something wrong, but my MAX (i play as NC) is incredibily weak, whereas the Vanu and the Terran ones are incredibly tough. I got destroyed with one single rocket, and any infantry man can take me down with one mag and little effort. What am i doing wrong?

It is literally impossible to get taken down with a single rocket, even the decimator which is the hardest hitting launcher in teh game does a little about half damage.

what is probably happening is a frustrating version of lagging; wherein all you see/hear is the one that gets you. Meanwhile someone off to the side has empted a clip into your head and an inf is behind you clutching their SMG with sweaty palms begging you to not turn around so you don't kill 'em.

I'll try a 1on1 to see if it's really me or just the lag, but honestly, one rocket took away 90% of my health. or at least this is was appaeared to me while playing

Its hard playing as maxes. I typically play TR and I feel like the NC max is OP because of the shotguns and the "Riot shield". I did a bit of research and the maxes all are generally ballanced. I think that for you, thinking that the TR and Vanu have better maxes is just a personal thing. The who getting killed with one rocket doesnt typically work. as stated before it could be lag. I personally have had the same problem but then i realized that there was also a sniper shooting me and a couple guys with LMG's.

Well as a new player your MAX suit will generally be weak until you get some upgrades. Don't feel bad, I play NC too and honestly agree that our max suits are soley designed for close range combat. I don't really play as MAX because it eats up resources I can use elsewhere but once in a while I'll load it up if the battles going really well and I think this could be a deciding factor. Just remember as I said; our MAX's mostly use fast-firing shotguns, so use them mostly for clost-quarters combat (I.E. Biolabs, small Tech Plants), and if you think that MAX is something that you will use commonly, upgrade it a bit and give it more health. Just be glad you're not fighting other MAX suits before the Vanu Overcharge Nerf, before that an Overcharged Vanu MAX could run around and mow down an entire platoon and walk away with a scuff on his shoulder.

USe maxes in a max crash, its better because teammates help you. Also I usually wait for the enymey max to come then I pump all my shotgun ammo in him and finish off with a rocket.

Long time player here. I am a Terran Republic player, but I may be able to give you some tips. Your NC max is made for close quarters engagements...and they excel in fights like bio labs or the interirors of amp stations or tech plants. I suggest you cert into max FLAK armor, to increase your explosive resistance, and buy a second shotgun. The scatter cannon, although the default arm cannon...is by no means a weak weapon, get the second one or if you want a different system all together i would suggest the hacksaw. Lastly, just make sure you roll with an engineer who will repair and resupply you as you go. Stick to cover and do not try to engage targets out of your range.

Another way that you could go with your NC max is anti-vehicle. Simply get a second falcon (you have one on your right arm by default, costs 250 certs) and you're ready to do some serious anti-vehicle damage. Flak armor and the aegis shield can help too.

One thing I realized is that a lot of times you are getting shot by multiple people not just the one you were doing battle with. It seemed like I died very easy but once you play long enough and keep an eye on the map and keep your situational awareness to the max you can see several people engaged you.

Also C4 is incredibly overpowered and will kill you and any tank in the game with one shot.

Not really, it takes 2 bricks to kill Lightings and MBTs
