As for individual weapons, on TR, the kindard is going to be your bread and butter, its a carbine and has insane TTK as the first 7 rounds of it shoot out faster then its normal ROF, meaning you need to learn to burst fire with it, but it becomes a monster of a weapon
The Punisher is also a pretty good weapon for him as the repair grenades are useful and helpful against max's
Long range? Mid-range? Close quarter? Something that works for everything but excels at nothing?
Archer is fun for farming MAXs.
Shotguns are good for when people are better than you.

Don't buy guns with your initial certs the suggestion to get the purple ribbon on a weapon (1.1k kills) before buying a replacement is a pretty good one.
Single fire scout rifles (amr66/dragoon/hs1) take some practice in cqc tho the amr-66 and track 5-s give the most amount of options when it comes to attachments
(trac 5s gets underbarrel shotgun in addition to everything the amr recieves)
Track 5-s can also act like a battle/scout rifle if you set it single/burst fire
Launchers are good for crowd control whether it's grenade or smoke. Both very situational but you can set yourself up to initiate pushes on points especially with smoke since most do not use HS/NV scopes and if always paired with the silencer can make for a silent but deadly combo
The dragoon is ok for cqc without the single fire mod and explosive rounds are good for hitting targets around maxes
Facing vehicles I always equip the archer w/4x scope as this optic gives the best all around for taking on targets near/far and this includes maxes as well
Almost like a laser beam accuracy sometimes.
