SOE Accounts
I don't really care anymore, but I've lost my old PlanetSide 2 account(over 200 hours of play hours). I've tried logging into the forums one time, through SOE, and logged into someone else's account, even though they were my credentials. Since the launcher only supports Daybreak accounts, and the SOE ones don't seem to have been migrated properly, I lost my account after reinstalling PlanetSide 2. I just made a Daybreak account, and started over, but if you use your SOE account on PlanetSide 2, and decide you wanna uninstall PlanetSide 2, think it through.

If you had a SOE account, when was the last time you played? They did wipe old unused characters on old unused accounts a while ago to clear up names. But those accounts had to have been unplayed for well over a year and a half to be considered for the character wipe. You can try contacting DBG support and see if your character(s) can be reinstated in this case, the worst that can happen is they say 'Sorry, those characters are no longer in the database'.

Alternatively... if you have multiple accounts, have you tried the others? It wouldn't be the first time someone thought they lost their characters and were simply logging into the wrong account.

Best of luck to ya.

There are is no difference between Daybreak and SOE accounts. Daybreak is SOE, they just changed the name of the company. Its the same company. No account migration has happened and as such you didn't loose your account.

So if you logged into some other guys account, then thats pretty quite sure one of your alt accounts you didn't remember having. I suggest you go and log into one of the other accounts of yours, your old account didn't get lost in a migration, because no migration happened in the past year.

The last migration that happened was before June last year, when Pro7games ended its partnership with SOE. For which they send out emails, for almost half a year, informing people that the accounts wouldn't be migrated.

So if that is what happened to you... tough luck, its not like you didn't get ample warning.

The launcher won't accept my old credentials; just tried. Trying to log in through psn on the forum website's just giving me "Daybreak Auth Error: 44".

I've only ever had one account, before I made a new one on Daybreak. Plus, some other guy was on the same account, before me, and was posting on the forums about same exact thing. I've even posted a thread about this. You should be able to find it. We both didn't own the account, and he gave out his real account name. I've tried logging in with the same credentials, and it failed, so I had to create a new forum account. I was attempting to log in with my psn credentials, which is an option; albeit, a broken one, it seems.

Still has nothing to do with account migration.

I just assumed that accounts were migrated, hence the usage of the word, "seem".
