I dont know
[Whenever you damage a friendly soldier or vehicle, you will acumulate grief points. If you get too many grief points, we will disable your weapons.]

There is no display for grief points unfortunately.

Something to note: It works by how many times you do bad things. NOT how damaging/big those things were.

EG; if you somehow created a chain of 20 C4 across 10 tanks, and detonated it... this would probably give you as much greif as shooting someone in the head, once, with the weakest pistol.

This is also why collisions//long term impacts between friendly vehicles tend to lock your weapons super fast -- that impact dmg is happening at some rate like 20 *small* hits a second.. so your grief points skyrocket.

Hope this helped ;)

yeah, i got my sniper locked because idiots kept walking in front of me while i was trying to shoot, i'd just like to know how long it would be until they unlock it

There is nothing unfortunate about it. If you could see them, people would game the system and Teamkill until they are almost locked and then go and make some xp and return Teamkilling once it dropped to sufficient levels.

Maybe stop standing in the spawnroom doorway, wanting to be a sniper.

You and me have vastly different understandings on what flaming is in a message board context.

And you do not get weapon locked for killing one or two people. You have to actually go out of your way to teamkill people that much to get weapon locked. Which suggests that you were standing in a high traffic area. And the exit of a spawn room is quite frequently that very spot where wanna-be sniper will stand and then complain they got weapon locked.

Even if it wasn't the spawn room, you still were standing in a high traffic area, instead of actually getting out of the way and letting other people go where ever they wanted to go. Especially as Infiltrator you do have the range to search yourself another avenue of attack.

The rest of the world doesn't exist to make way for you. And if more than one person is running into your shots, then it is nobodies but your own fault for being weapon locked for team killing.

I'd explain more of what was happening, but i already see the "yeah, right" response, the "infliltrator" class doesn't just have to be for camping away on top of a hill doing nothing to help the team

Me and the Op must be playing a different game to you.

It's surprisingly easy to get grief points due to team mates walking in front of you when your crouched firing on an emeny position. Personally, I think they do it on purpose to try and kill steal.

Plenty of times I've died due to someone walking in front of me, while I'm crouched and farming and then they just standing there. They don't even attempt to kill the guys that are all running around that far off corner I've been farming for 5 minutes, they just stand there. I can't shoot, they don't shoot so the guys I've been farming just cut us both down.

Yes, in PS2 he can also be played very agressively for example with Smg or stalker with some good pistol. But it doesnt excuse hitting teammates still...

Yeah, everyone is out to ruin your day, specifically. Especially when they try to kill steal you, since the other team only has 64 tickets and there aren't enough enemies to go around.

There are no tickets in PS2... Have you even played the game?

Your sarcasm detector is faulty, have it checked.

It was checked, it doesn't work over text because there's no body language
Pretty obvious if you ask me.

I think we are all playing the same game. This guy just wants to come off as a d$#k. I play engineer quite often and love to set up anti personell turrets. So why is it when I have a field of fire that I am working alll these team mates( who really could care less about me) come and crowd in front of me. I have the position and the set up but you would suggest that every POS team mate who runs in front of me I need to cease fire and let them have my positions / kills??

Seriously pal, get a check up from the neck up!! Battle field etiquette fior the retarded?? I don't know what factiion you fight with, but I sure as hell hope it is not my team.

So the world revolves around you and scum bags like you?? Cease your fire so the stupid team mkates who don't understand your machine gun will hurt them when they run in front of your blazing barrek.

Friendly fire should be eliminated from this game, while being realistic it sucks to have a team mate take you out. In the past several weeks my own team mates have killed me repeatedly. It really sucks to spend cert points on a max only to have one of your own team mates back a tank over you or run you down with a sunderer while trying to chicken run from battle.

This is just one of the major anger generators in this game that is getting worse by the day and becoming more and more unplayable.

No need to flame the OP or his supporters, he has a valid point and no matter how much you flame him his assertions will not be any less true. It just defines you as a d#$k and garners support for those who believe he is absolutly right.
