I noticed that since the NC do a lot more damage, And the TR do the Least, and the fact that they have quite a bit in shields and stuff, That the MSW-R won't work against the NC, but since the Vanu are completely balanced, the MSW-R has a better chance at killing the VS then the NC because of Gun weapon damage. Vanu have a lower damage output then the NC,so the MSW-R
is just fast enough to take out the Vanu if we were shooting at once, but with NC, they cause a greater amount of damage making the MSW-R fail.
If you want an all-around gun with better handling and a tighter COF... go for the T32Bull.
I noticed that fights upwards of 30meters... MSW horizontal recoil kicks a lot.
It's really a CQC gun without the topnotch ROF.
PS. There's a reason why the T32 costs 1,000 certs.
Its basically the TR's version of the Orion. Because of that its technically more advantagious to use it against the NC rather than the VS. The NC have a focus on heavy damage, but have slower rates of fire and higher vertical recoil to deal with (generally spekaing, there are exceptions to this rule of course), which hurts the NC in closer range battles, especially if its HA vs HA (as long as that NC is using an LMG and not a SMG or shotgun).
You are not taking Rounds per Second into consideration.
I am going to be lazy and copy and past something from another discussion:
The Trac5 does 143 before 10m and 112 after 60m damage. It has a RPM of 750, which means it has a RPS (Rounds per Second) of 12,5. We'll drop the fractions as most fights do not last longer than a Minute.
In comparison the NC Mercenary does 167 before 10m and 125 after 70m. It has a RPM of 600, which means a RPS of 10.
This means the Trac5 has 1716 DPS and the Mercenary does have 1670 DPS.
The point being... Yes, NC does more damage per Bullet, but as you can see the higher rate of fire more than makes up for the lack of per bullet damage.
Regardless of faction every Infantry soldier has 500 HP, every Infantry soldier but Infiltrator has 500 shield. Infiltrator have 400 Shield. Every factions heavy has an 800 Damage Overshield.
No faction has more damage soaking capabilities than other factions.
Bottom line: Every Infantry Soldier, regardless of faction, has the same defensive abilities. Only difference between them are the occasional special weapon and of course their infantry weapons. Of which many factions have mirrors available to them.
Well, you are right on that. If you look at say the Solistice DPS, which is 1573 DPS, in comparison with the two DPS values up there....
but just for kicks, lets look at the DPS of the Orion, as Zee suggests the MSW-R to be comparable (and i am inclined to agree), and the Anchor (which i believe is the closet NC equivalent):
MSW-R dps: 1716 DPS
LA1 Anchor: 1670 DPS
Orion VS54: 1716 DPS
DPS wise the NC is like 46 Damage short of the other two.
The horizontal kick on the MSW is annoying. Putting a grip means you lose ALS which then makes you meh at close quarters.
The T32 is the real all-around gun of the TR.
