Can players cheat their BR?
I've seen 2 guys (prob that they were hackers) having BR100 and all the directives done (~4500 points stars, idk how's it called), I went to their profile and at my surprise, they've played ONLY 59 hrs.
PS: I'm not going to name and shame, so I won't give names...

Good... because Naming and Shaming is against Steam TOS and can get you banned.

As for your question. If you suspect they are cheating, go to help.daybreakgames.com and open a ticket and report them to the support. Have the GMs look into it.

The directive points are unlikely, since they sort of transfer over characters. At least, some of them do.

The Battle Rank, more than likely, although this could have been done with them grinding on each other.

Sounds more like they "accidentally" deleted their characters and CS had to restore them. DBG apparently cannot restore all stats, so they look really funky.

You guys do know that this game can be played without steam right? its more likely that they just now installed the Steam version of the game, you still sign in with the same SOE/Daybreak account no mather if you play it on steam or just the normal client downloaded from the games website. So all progress is still there.

TLDR: No they are not hacking, they only now installed the steam version of the game.

just wondering OP did you look at their steam profile?

So why would they come to Steam if they already had it on the PS2 laucher?

Let me answer that for you... as i have downloaded the game through Steam, but do not play it through steam.

Reason i did that: So i could buy the packs and use the Steam wallet to Top up.

According to Steam i've played 2 hours of Planetside 2. I can assure you, that is not the case, its much, much more.

DGC's cheat detection is virtually non existent, apart from catching a few who use software that is easily picked up (dlls that haven't been renamed and are obvious, that kind of thing). As a result and especially since hackers found that their cheat software worked in PS2 after trying on H1Z1, there is a real issue with hackers. Don't expect DGC to do anything much about it. They turn a blind eye most of the time to even well known hackers who have been banned from other games, especially if those people pay for a membership.

I don't think you can hack your way to a higher BR, but there are definitely ways to boost.

No, its just working exactly like VAC. It does ban people in waves, in order to prevent them from knowing what exactly triggered it. Which can lead to a cheater being active for a few days.

Its a purposefully designed flaw.

The directive points are already bound to your account and not your characters, and always show the combined score of all chars you have. I really would like the see the low BRs with the directive weapons, does not really sound plausible.

It's impossible for someone BR 6-10 get an Auraxium weapon. The easy auraxium weapons, which take 4 weapons to unlock, require you to get 1160 kills each x 4 = 4,640 kills. Each kill is 100 exp = 464,000 exp. That would put you close to BR 26. This is not including the 250 exp weapon kill ribbons you get every 10 kills. (116000 exp) , and your 5 daily exp ribbons which reward 500exp each. (2500 exp a day). Bottom line, you would of earned enough experiance to at the least to be a High BR20, before you got your first Auraxium weapon.

If you believe this, I have a bridge to sell you. In fact many of the cheaters I've come across have been playing for months, some even years and I've played this game for nearly three years. DGC have admitted that they allow cheaters back into the game, especially if they pay for memberships.
