Game won't launch

I'm gettng tired of searhing the internet so i've decided to call upon the help of the users.

Problem:

I am able to start up the launch menu from steam. Once I've updated and click play the game doesn't open and the launcher eventually closes after about 15 seconds or so. No errors messages, nothing. I've reinstalled the game about 3 times now so thats NOT an option. I've tried validating the files from both steam and the launcher but I continue to have the same problem. I've checked my firewall and it is checked to be allowed.

I have this game installed on my desktop and it works perfectly. This is happening on my laptop.

It's 64 bit on both. The resoltion is not the issue.

I'm dying.... I cant take this anymore. HELP ME USERS! PLEASE!!!!! HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!

Same problem here, hit Play, it says the game is starting, then after about 30 seconds it crashes.

It's very strange. I've seen posts on other websites about our problem and some were a year or so old without any solutions. Atleast no solution that I could get to help me. COME PEOPLE. We must discover a solution!

I haven't had any issues like this but I can offer a few tips for finding a fix.

If its working for your desktop but not for your laptop, what are the differences? Is one system running windows 7 and the other windows 8?

Also everyone with this issue should list your specs so you can find out what you all have in common. It makes finding a fix much easier.

Unfortuantely both my laptop and desktop are Windows 7 and are a 64 bit operating system. Graphics is a non- issue because this laptop should be able to run Planetside 2 just fine.

It must be something wrong with the Launcher perhaps. There is a video on youtube that tries to deal with this very problem, although the files in the video never seem to appear in my Planetside directory. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lU9nc7Jx510

I have windows 7 and i actually ran planetside 2 before but uninstalled, no clue why its not working now

Well, im pretty tired atm, spent most of the day trying to get this to work, mainly because of all the times I reinstalled the game. Hopefully someone can come up with something, or maybe one of the devs will see our unified struggle. I was really looking forward to playing this with my little brother, but alas game says no.

I had to download two missing files and paste them into the game folder and it worked fine.

FIX
You probably use MSI Afterburner or another Overlay... Just delete them and it will work perfectly.

but my MSI afterburner is not running
