with low pop it means only dedicated and veteran players remain and will dominate fights, right? as a new/returning player who never really "got gud" but liked to do support/utility play. hence i am not a great shot or "K:D ratio" king and don't know the important map points. also, how do you know the opposing player does or does not use an aimbot, as a new/returning player who is not used to fights?

This is a question that is asking for opinions. In my opinion its not worth it to get into the cert/class grinds this late in the games history. It's 12 years old, and if you missed the glory days of fair certs and big fights, then you probably wont be able to ever match veterans in terms of equipment and experience.

as a fellow returning player I'd say embrace the impulse to play. Who knows if the game is still around next time you get it.

I'm having a blast have a character of each faction at level 20, so i don't have all the equipment but i am having fun.

not worth playing anymore. same bugs. new bugs. bad changes. they dont refund certs when they change things. the Bastion is still in the game and can still be spawned in with less than 50 people on the map. so much more.let the game die so a new one can rise from its grave

The game is built around organized strategic team play, so individual veterans can't just single handedly "dominate", it is more about which faction has better organization during the time of the alert. (Except for small fights where one or two really good players can hold a point by themselves against a few noobs.)

You can contribute incredible value even without being a good shot or without good equipment, just by playing support / utility. In fact I think this is one of if not the best game out there if you want to play some sort of PvP but aren't good at video games.

its free to play and if your bored id say give the game a twirl. but yea everyone above is right. Your gonna face vets that are absolutely hardcore and a lot of people think they cheat and sure some gamers may on any game but the vets will get head shots all day with ease and not using aim bot. Join squads and large outfits and I think youll find a fun game. dont forget started weapons are powerful. get gud at head shots and most of all dont get stuck just in pvp. a lot of the time using vehicles and just gunning for a friend/squad/platoon play a huge part. imo planetside is still one of the best games for complex warfare on the market.
