BTT: Not much more to do than to, as they say, git gud. These other pilots kill you because they spent a lot of time practicing. You will not beat them in a 1v1 unless you do the same, especially not if you do not run a dedicated A2A loadout and are distracted while killing ground targets. Another option would be to run away, ideally somewhere with allied flak.
Will your KDR be good? No.
Will you get dehydrated from the salty tears of angry skyknights? Probably.
Most of my kills are from the needler, you don't have to track as much as you would with the rotary and higher mag size let's you hose bullets when you need to track. All the nose guns you can use- you just have to fly accordingly. You can't go wrong with the needler imo.
What you really want to do is enlarge your mini-map and pay attention in-between reloading/retreating to see if any ESFs are nearby; and only pull an ESF when there are enough allies in the air to support when needed.
You can also fly to towers- or try to remember any skyguards nearby; I'm usually running AA and I love when allies bait them into my AA range; it's a mutual benefit.
Needler- best imo for Dogfighting and playing wingman when the situation arise. I.E. You're running Needler+Hellfire for dedicated A2G, and a lot of people do the same so your flying with many more allies. Most of my ESF kills are from me keeping an eye on the map and the sky and hunting down ESFs that are trying to chase off allied A2G ESFs- basically I'm a sky knight when I need to be and I switch between Air Superiority and A2G.
Hornets are good for low flying (if you know how to strafe in low flying properly) because you can do damage in a short ammount of time and really fast and just afterburn your way out of situations, so I usually just stick with Hornets and I've gotten use to it and can sometimes track ESFs with them as well. Hornets are also really good for dive-bombing I.E. max altitude and just hold S and full-on nose-dive and get as many rockets out as you can before anyone notices you.
If you're having problem with Dalton liberators that are being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and going A2A, don't chase them lmao- when a lot of ESFs die to a liberator it just encourages them to pull it more and fight ESFs with them; or at least I ask that you be smart about it and only engage liberators at range with needlers.
