With black screen you mean the launcher itself is black? If so try these:
https://help.daybreakgames.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/29017
If you mean that the game itself has a black screen once you press play, then you need to edit the ini with a proper display resolution.
If its only just recently started for you guys, then don't go about attempting to fix it... it seems to be server side.
If its been persisting for a couple days, check out the link i posted above.
Yeah, possibly people DDosing as revenge then.
Don't validate through Steam!
Steam's files are outdated. It will acquire the outdated files and replace them, you'll end up having to update them.
If you want to validate your installation the launcher has its own verification option.
Yeah and as people said in this thread... Daybreak said its on their end, they are aware of the issue and working on it.
https://forums.daybreakgames.com/ps2/index.php
See the big bold letters reading:
"Status: 12/29/2015 17:45 PST - We are currently investigating a potential issue with network connectivity to the game."
Alternatively here: https://twitter.com/DaybreakGames/status/682023270334468099
I'm fairly sure it is a resolution issue but I cant find the ini file and I see no option in any menu. I've been out of this game for about 4 months now thanks to this problem over two machines.
Anyone want to school me on what I'm missing?
