Launcher black screen?
I've seen people having this issue months and months ago. I'm trying to play the game again and I get this black screen...Any fix?

With black screen you mean the launcher itself is black? If so try these:

If you mean that the game itself has a black screen once you press play, then you need to edit the ini with a proper display resolution.

We both mean the launcher itself turns black, I tried deleting the LaunchPad cache but that did nothing. Ahh well, it's been a good three years

It seems people in game are experiencing upwards of 27,000 for their ping. The servers may be getting DDosed. I am having the same issues.

Daybreak says they know about it and are working on it. Apparently, there was also some mass banning thing that happened this afternoon. their main website is slow as hell also.

I swear, its every year....

If its only just recently started for you guys, then don't go about attempting to fix it... it seems to be server side.

If its been persisting for a couple days, check out the link i posted above.

Yeah a bunch of files went missing ro something go to properties and validate the files for the game (Not sure how they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that up lmao)

Don't validate through Steam!

Steam's files are outdated. It will acquire the outdated files and replace them, you'll end up having to update them.

If you want to validate your installation the launcher has its own verification option.

Yeah and as people said in this thread... Daybreak said its on their end, they are aware of the issue and working on it.

Ok, my loader is fine but once I click on play the game goes to a black screen. This happened on my old PC to and I couldn't fix it. Just got a monster machine and I have the same issue. The character selection screen appears, I hear the music, move the mouse and I can hear the mouseover sounds. Hell I can even get into the game... but all with a black screen.

I'm fairly sure it is a resolution issue but I cant find the ini file and I see no option in any menu. I've been out of this game for about 4 months now thanks to this problem over two machines.

Anyone want to school me on what I'm missing?
