Please get rid of infiltrator or get rid of cloak
Its getting real annoying seeing them decloack, kill, and recloak. They get the most kills in game because they can quickly cloak after a kill. Its crazy how they can carry assault rifles, smg, and other automatic weapons and having the ability to cloak. They should only be able to use knife, sniper rifle, and a handgun. The battlefield is literally turning into an infiltrator fest. You cant even flank the enemy. All the sudden you see sniper rounds coming at you from all directions. If you manage to get through all those rounds, which you most likely wont, you're greeted by an infiltrator that decloaks behind you and gun you down with an SMG as you're trying to regain shield.

I kind of agree, the whole cloaking idea is very annoying in this game.
I'd prefer if both cloaking abilities would come with the restriction to only use sidearms as weapons. Or maybe give them spotting scopes as an alternate "weapon" to use while cloaked, which allows them to effectively spot targets for a longer time or maybe even through one layer of cover.

Well with how they have a cloak and less hp yea they are going to use the cloak to get kills, do you have any data to prove that they get the most kills in game and they cant carry assault riffles

if that was the case you would also have to change the cloaks, because then the default cloak would be objectively inferior to the stalker

they have can use the tengu and SMG's and they can also use the 4 5 hit pistols

Overall they should only be able to carry sniper rifles, recon equipment, and handguns. Pistols, recon equipment, and knives should be the only thing they can use if cloaking device is equipped.

They can sneak behind enemy line and hack their vehicle spawn pad terminal and base turrets. They can also place detection sensor so that friendlies can know where the enemy is. Explosives can also be placed behind enemy lines. Thats with cloaking device equipped.

Without cloaking equipped, they can use their sniper rifles at long distance and equip SMG is the situation gets heated where they have to get out of there. Basically to cover their retreat or to move from point to point.

so now they are able to equip SMG's? also sorry its late so I may be slow but what exactly would be their ability in the place of invisibility, assuming they want to use primary weapons which as you said above would not be possible with cloak

They can't carry assault rifles, they can carry scout rifles insted.
Cloak also dont make them invisible at close to medium, they are just camouflaged.
You can spot them with a trained eye, or simple by shooting at any graphics that looks off(disstorted).

But yes depend on the fight there will be alot of sniper fire or LA fire.
Also them having only a knife and a cloak is also hard to deal with, ever seen the power knife up close with a nightmare implant? Thats some nasty ♥♥♥♥ when people got the awareness of a karan. A delay on the cloak could be a fix to it, also sometimes you can react to the decloack sound and win.

thats a really good point, being able to recognise the cloaking sound will really help you if you realise from where it came, and if you dont you still know to be on the look out

While wearing a headset i normaly have no problem knowing where it came from.
Sometimes i make a 180 just for them lol.

Back in 2018 when I played the game more, Infiltrator, Hunter Cloak, 4x zoom with the bolt-action SAS-R/Ghost/T-SAR, straight pull bolt and sidearm of choice was immense fun while running around in CQC and midrange. Took some skill to pop heads consistently, but that was really addicting once you got the hang of it.
I can see though that for new players the Infiltrator class can be quite infuriating to fend off. As Drakkahn said a decent headset helps alot for the cloak sound; and the distorted image trick works wonders as well.
Yet I have to say, and please excuse my language here, that the main SMG Infiltrators are the utmost despicable low-skill scum this game has to offer, and partially I have to include myself in this group since the Infiltrator Auraxium armor also needs SMG kills for its unlock (still feeling bad, sorry people ¯\(°_o)/¯ ).

To conclude Infiltrators with hunter cloak should be restricted to sniper rifles, be they bolt-action or semi-automatic and the Infiltrators Auraxium armor requirements should also be changed accordingly.
