Betelgeuse, Butcher, GODSAW? Is it worth it?
Not wanting to start a argument and I just want some opinions and or facts about these weapons and if they are worth it?
I play each faction equally or when I feel like it. I am close to getting directive with each heavy class in each faction and when I started I wanted the Betelgeuse but I heard it got a nerf and now only has hotshots. Sadly it was one was wanting the most but it put me off with the mag size and how VS directive weapons heat mechanic is now just lowered all mag sizes which really ruin it for me.

I am out of the loop due to personal life stuff (WORK) and now with new hours I like at work I can enjoy gaming more now a little. I love the game but I want to feel what I am working towards is worth it.

I am not too sure with Butcher and GODSAW if there nerfed or changed so some community love and advice be nice.

Butcher and Godsaw is still excellent weapons, although personally I feel like the grind to get Godsaw was much more enjoyable experience than the Butcher.
It's just that the Bull, the Rhino, and TMG 50 were awkward to use, so I opted to do naginata and ns15(again).

Betel is still fine its 5 less bullets in a 'mag' in exchange for a gun that reloads itself when you holster it (as long as you dont overheat it)

Nice gaslight there, buddy.

Butcher and Godsaw isn't "excellent"

Far from it.

Most veteran players of TR uses Carv or MSW-R over the Butcher:

For those who don't know, the Butcher is an objective award LMG which requires a considerable of farming to even get.

The fact that the gun it got shadowed by a basic gun that is practically attainable after few hours of farming is far, FAR, from the "it's excellent" Bruva Garen has said.

So no.

Betelgeuse is OBJECTIVELY one of the best weapon in the game once you've unlocked all three LMG's

It's not OP, before anyone cries, but it's meta and outperforming Godsaw and Butcher for a reason.

If you want, mark this post and once you've played with all three, you will agree with me.

Betelgeuse - Yes, absolutely. It's an objectively worse Orion but infinite ammo makes for the perfect farming weapon in the hand of an expert player since you can overcome its lack of attachments with experience.

GODSAW - Yes, but not mandatory. Easier to use than Gauss-SAW for the faster reload and extra attachments. The damage to vehicles alt fire it's mostly a gimmick since the damage its pitiful but makes for fun moments. I prefer it over the standard SAW because it fits a more aggressive playstyle. If you like to sit in a corner and shoot far away, won't find much benefit in the GODSAW.

Butcher - Arguably the least notable of the 3 directive LMGs. Has changed so much over the years in search for an identity and it never found one. It's basically a CARV with so many bullets you won't know what to do with them. Is it fun, yes. Is it worth grinding over hoping to unlock the definitive TR weapon? Probably not.

Butcher is still a great weapon if one knows how to use it. Short controlled bursts make it op at short and mid range. Like any other weapon, takes time figuring out and getting used to.

Battlegoose: yes. Infinite ammo and 'reloads' while you shoot with your pistol is completely bonkers and broken even if they only gave it 25 rounds. The potential of this gun is completely insane. Good HA player? Great, You can now operate alone or in a small pack of other HAs and never need ammo. Equip regen implant and now you have infinite heals and ammo. In a group setting? Even if your squad only specs one engineer for ammo now that player can be a medic. The 'ripple effects' of creating this gun is just...insanely stupid and shortsighted. 100% worth it.

The others not so much. GODsaw's vehicle damage is sad and useless in most cases. Its nice to annoy MBTs and Libs with but you can do the same thing playing peekaboo with an Engineer and the anti material rifles.

Butcher is just meh. Better than the GODsaw but still not nearly as awesome as the Beetlejuice.

Agreed.

Lol no it doesn't.

Butcher is my favorite gun but it's far from practical.

You're handicapping yourself with short burst when you can just go carv or msw-4 for a full fire rate and just as or more accurate.

Godsaw/Butcher needs rework to be as much a meta as Betelgeuse.

BG is overpowered broken hilarious BS weapon that is an entire class of its own. Butcher/godsaw are not worth chasing unless you just like NC/TR heavy with lmg.

The NC GodSaw is the best weapon to annoy tanks and airships stalking respawn rooms in low population areas.

And it's the default machine gun but with that anti-vehicle feature, so it's still good to use with the heavy assault or the AEP engineer.
