Infil is fun to play. Until you run into a couple of players that use 3rd party map hacks to find you because they have sand trapped in a certain part of their anatomy over someone that has the gameplay and the patience to sneak up on them and introduce them to Mr. Knifey.

Cloaks are not invis you do know this? Cloaks makes sounds, and without sensor shield you can be seen EZ. And without Deep OP you can see the "glitched" grafhics thats the infil blob.

There is finding you and then there is making a bee line right for you from the other side of the base with no flashlight and getting one shotted while not making any motion, cloaked up for a good 30 sec.

I main stalker infil.
I run exclusively Deep op and Sensor Shield.
Part of the problem is the games engine being... quirky.
I've had times where I drop in from instant action and peoples cloaks don't load so some jackass is just... standing in an open field.
I've had times where base lights hit me despite being a mile away from the base.
I've had times where vehicle lights randomly act as darklights and reveal me.

There are times people randomly turn a corner I've been sitting at for 45+ seconds still, crouched, cloaked for 3+ minutes and instantly shot me.

How so I differentiate the people getting engine bugs from legitimate cheaters.

Pretty sure vehicle lights are darklights now.(after testing no it dont, guess its just darklight been bugged)

Alot of the time the afk infil, i step on those since they got hit boxes, and they block you, so i kill them, you can also use the sweeper hud to decect infils.

Vehicle lights are not darklights
Sweeper hud does not detect infils, where the hell did you pull that bs from?
I'm aware we maintain hitboxes when cloaked, as stated I main the class.

Sniping is not easy despite popular belief. If don't move after 2 to 3 shots (regardless whether you hit anything) then its very easy for the opposing side to locate you.
Also for people complaining about Infli cloak. Get a team mate to cloak on and off at different distances and angles. It is relatively straight forward to "guesstimate" where an Infli is based on the sound of them cloaking on and off.

I also mained infil for a few hour if not 1k hours, and i learned a few things. Like how cloak can be seen if you use zoom, and how vampire works on proxy mines if you just hold a knife. And fortyfie also high lights you while you are cloaked.

Sweeper hud have a Meters counter, and if you look at something thats 100m away, and an infil is standing at the 50m mark, the sweeper hud will say 50m not 100 meters.
Its not only infils, any enemy have those boxes, and NSO got them even to there team mates.

So no you are incorrect, it does detect infils.
You were right about the headlights, i stand corrected.

I do however still think darklight goes though walls.

Sweeper hud changes the range when something is in front of it.

The normal crosshair will change color when a cloaked infiltrator passes though too (maybe sometimes, maybe always; not sure)

Sometimes vehicle lights bug out the cloak and it acts like a dark light even though its not.

Additionally, you'll still cast a shadow on Esamir in the snow even if cloaked. Its just a spot on the ground, not a full shadow - but its there.

When the storm was still a thing on Esamir, the cloak would be easier to see then NSO Cloaked infils. When in the contrast of the Storm sky textures/skybox.

Out lines and everything.

Edit; I have never had a cloaker go red on my crosshairs, but any non cloaks does.
its really good for finding people thats hiding in bushs.

OK so the crosshair thing is just 'sometimes ' - Ive definitely had it happen. I honestly wouldnt hate that as a soft nerf. We're supposed to be sneaky, people complain enough, and the ones complaining probably wouldnt notice the crosshair change color if they cant even see the incredibly obvious warped textures of the cloak anyway.

Check out right below you some time on Esamir; you should be casting a little round dot of a shadow. I used to find 'em all the time that way. Im going to check on other continents as I get on them too.

Deep Op is a thing you know.

"incredibly obvious warped textures of the cloak"
That on the other hand BS, and i'm a tell you why. How offen do you see obvious warped textures of the cloak from non-CQC sniper? The only time you see it, is when you are using 4-12 scopes on snipers you are already looking for.

You are not going to see a sniper cloaked 30-60m away, and with latency the sniping and cloaking feels a bit jank.

IMO since LA now got a "sniper" the crossbow, which was never intended. They should let other classes access the sniper rifle weapons too. I love to see CQC and Semi auto snipers on engineers, insted of having to pick infil to counter infil.

Note: I do agree Cloaks are not invisible, and are offen obvious warped textures, however you dont normaly move calm while looking for cloaked stalker, calm normaly means slow and slow means dead. And fast or moving jank, means you can't tell normal textures from cloaks, at times. I like to hear your good advice on not only seeing them better, but finding them better without dying, and no you dont get me to do it on NC/VS on cobalt, that Nebelhex is not waiting for you.
