For certs, I don't know. Out of all the cert farming guides, they're still too slow for me. I guess I just lack patience.
As for ways to farm certs. Keep in mind that 250-400 certs through regular play is the average, without boosts and/or farming. If that isn't enough for you, or if you fall short of that...
You can try boosting your certain in a couple ways. What you want to do is increase your passive cert gain by undertaking actions that give you Ribbons. Ribbons are worth 250xp and 250xp is 1 cert. So doing passive gain stuff like Detection Darts & Motion Sensors, dropping ammo packs, medic shield restoration bubbles, deploying sunderer in large fights can give you 25xp per kill/refill/recharge/respawn and will provide you with Ribbons. Meaning every 10 detects, refills and so on and so forth you get 1 cert.
If you have a hard time killing people, go and repair maxes or armor, or heal and rezz your allies.
Doing all these actions with a Squad yields a 25% exp bonus on all actions your squadmates benefit from. So playing closely together with your squadmates can give you a substantial bonus.
Q spotting also can give you a source of passive exp gain.
If you want to know more indepth information about cert farming.. there are a myriad of guides.
If it's per day or per 2 days, I honestly don't know how people do it. They all say that you should play the game to have fun and not have the mindset of grinding certs. But it's just hard to get that kind of mindset out of my head.
Per 4 hours of gameplay. 60-100 certs per hour is the average, just doesn't sound a nice :)
