Joke aside, why should we know that?
Be op was the kid in the back asking if we are there yet..
the servers are dead when the publisher tells sunsets them.
They reduced the server cap not so long ago to try to get more people to sub and pay $15 a month (again) since most people were instantly getting into maps without paying, but the developers gave the same excuse it was to "improve performance" which was only a side effect and most dont notice a performance difference. This had the opposite effect of people leaving the game for something else FTP and/or not so neglected. The game still has about the same performance when the server cap was 2000.
They will sunset the servers when the population gets to the point nobody needs to sub anymore to get into battles at prime time and we are dangerously close to that now.
I Knew it was a crock of nonsense to lower the server caps when overall pop is less by... literally thousands than it has been able to sustain in the past.
Well it's not going to be good for the game in the long run for sure, an mmofps like Planetside persists long term off of player number momentum, and you gain players by letting them participate in battles to scales that are unique to planetside.
