Should i download from steam or from the wesite?
I'm asking this because i've read a few times that if you download from steam, it'll download 2 times, like if you complete the download from steam, open the game laucher, then it'll start verifying the game files and then it'll start downloading like 3 or 5gb again.

So my question is if i should keep a backup fron the "steam version" only for when i need to buy stuff, something that i'll do one day, bacause if i download from the website i can't access my steam wallet from there, or should i only use the website version?

If you are already gonna download the Steam version and are planning to use it in the future there is no point in downloading it from the website again.

Well, I downloaded it from Steam, and had to download it twice - but like Mexiguy said, just go ahead and download it from Steam so that you don't have to download it again when you want to buy things with your Steam wallet. It may take a little bit longer, but it will be more efficient in the long run.

Just make sure to NEVER use Steams file validation feature for PS2 and you'll be fine. Steam has the games base files, but you have to install all the updates in the launcher that have been added since the files Steam has on record were last updated... I said update alot in that sentance. It could be worse, until about a year ago the files Steam had on record were so out of date you essentially wound up downloading the entire game twice.

If you run into any technical trouble, use the file validation on the launcher to make sure everything is installed properly. Click the little wrench icon on the lower left of the launcher to access the options menu, then select validate from there.

The only technical problem that i had was that the laucher couldn't connect to internet, and i couldn't fix it so i had to stop playing because of that, but then after 3 months i wanted to play again, searched alot, and finally found the fix, but then i had to stop playing again because of my potato
