i think AT mines are also triggered by MAXes, so maybe leaveing a few at indoor fights or dropping them from above at infantry and shooting them.
frag grenades, i cant think of anything other than trowing them into crowded fights.
as a disclaimer, i am nowhere near any directive level stats in these things. just throwing ideas out.
The other thing I do is whenever a base is about to fall I and is being spawncamped is wait until there are 30-20 secs left on the timer, switch to engi, crouch next to the door where I expect people to rush, in and then drop a mine as they rush the spawn, I usually get 1-2 kills that way, although some spawns aren't that accessible to attackers and it's hard to pull it off before the pain field kills you.

I have C4 ARX and still haven't quite auraxiumed frag grenades yet.
To be most efficient, make sure you have your belt of AT mines active at all times. The first thing you should do after logging in should be to set up AT mines near the front lines. Once those mines are triggered, put down another minefield. If the front lines move away from your minefield, place a new one.
Good luck!
