PS4 and PC link??

So the latest video on steam says coming to PS4. Does that mean that people on PS4 can play with us on PC?

luckily for both we wont be able to play together, for us that we wont have to feel the downgrade to servers to make it "fair" for console users and the console users wont have to get completely obliterated by the BR 1-10 PC players without a chance to fight back.

its a separate playerbase. Although SOE is planing to give PC players some benefits if they migrate to PS4 version. Knowing SOE, its mostlikely account sharing stuff, like paid weapons, skins, armor, etc and ofcourse SC.

There was a test done years ago that kind of proved you should NEVER allow both to play online with each other.

The test was done with some of the best console gamers they could find (questionable i think)
vs a bunch of standard PC gamers and the PC players won and won so badly MS has not tryed again to see if it will work.

I do have to some what question the test since all they say is consoles lost no names of the players or what games it was done with its all just rumor with gears of war been the most likely game used in the test.

not at all, Radarx said on the forums that nothing at all will carry over..havent played the game since i read it. Higby said about a year ago that you will be able to carry over all your purchases.

bought a cronusmax to play shooters on the xbox, will give planetside a go when it comes out on the ps4 with the oul mouse nad keyboard.

Well yes, except aim assist that all consoles version games have.

given it is (supposedly?) the same game, and since characters are stored server-side, i would imagine it is a simple task to make your characters available on both platforms, even if cross-platform gameplay is not used. it would only make sense.

apparently no. PS4 version will be slightly behind in terms of content (at least on the launch day) and they might have slightly different stuff exclusive for the PS4.
