Mate I usually just use Rainy Mood, adds some more atmosphere. That works too though.

I don't listen to music while playing the game. Makes me miss the footfall sounds and other sound ques.

Planetside 2 is one of the few games i play with Headphones for that very reason.

It was the deployment theme that made me disable the music setting all together. Mostly since it was such a generic "OH LOOK ROCK AND ROLL FREEDOM ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ LOOOUUUD" guitar riff.

BAH NAH- NAH- BAH NAH NAH BAH NAH NAH...

There was nothing like dying in an annoying way as a newer player and hearing that all the time to make you want to get rid of it, now I've just gotten sick of it in general.

Yep, combat 1 & 3 are great, main theme is also good, but you only hear it in character creation.

I never really understood why the NC music was considered "best" or even just "good" for that matter...

I do like the orchestra of the TR way more than a rather lousy rock one from the NC... Guess it's to do with the fact i never really likeed "any" rock music. Really a very specific taste bound by the current mood. Orchestra is more pleasant probably because you don't hear any good orchestra music every day*
